“Well, it seems like your guy doesn’t work here,” Tyshae said in an embarrassed tone.

Andy could only nod as he tried to pretend he was ashamed of being scammed when in reality what he said about the person he was looking for was completely made up, he had never been contacted and he was worried that the famous singer would discover his lies, luckily it seems like she did not.

“Fuck…Well, thank you so much miss Tyshae, I guess I should better get going,” Andy tried to run away but just like he expected, the older woman stopped him as she placed a hand on one of his shoulders.

“Andy…Wait,” she made him stop, and soon, he looked back at her.

“Yes?” He asked in an embarrassing tone.

“Look…I know you were expecting other things when you came here but…I really liked your music, I would love to sample one of your songs for the album I’m currently working on but I know my production team won’t like that sudden idea as it comes with tons of paperwork but...” Tyshae tried to explain to him.

“Relax, you don’t have to pity me, I was naïve and I fell into such an obvious trap but it’s okay, I’ll continue living and trying to find an opportunity to join a music label,” Andy tried to make the woman feel better but she stopped him once again from leaving.

“...Would you like to come with me while I work on my upcoming album?” She proposed to him with a hopeful tone.

The younger man knew he had hit the jackpot, but still, he pretended to think about it and soon, his worried expression turned into a soft smile.

“I would love to do that but I don’t want to make you or your people feel uncomfortable with my presence,” the younger man was being honest this time.

“Relax, as long as you speak the same language as us you’ll be fine and by that language I mean music,” the older woman chuckled and he couldn’t help but smile at her, even though she was trying to give a badass and strong image, she was sweet and cute at the same time too.

“Well, if you don’t mind having me there then, let’s go, I’ll go with you,” Andy said now with more confidence.

The older woman didn’t know why but she didn’t want to let Andy go, and soon, they were moving and reached the studio where the woman and her team had been working nonstop this whole week, she had returned from a performance she had given in a festival but she had so many musical ideas that she didn’t waste too much time to come here to continue working even during days artists and normal people don’t usually work.

Once they arrived at the studio, Andy was surprised to see three men who looked to be in their forties, there was a bald white guy with a beard and he wasn’t fat but not exactly thin, and then there was a shorter white guy with dark hair and the last one was a bald black guy with a white beard.

“Hi everyone,” Tyshae told the men in the room who quickly greeted her.

“Hey, Tyshae, who is the young man? Don’t tell me that you and him…” It was the bald white guy.

“Oh no, I just…It seems like he was trying to get a job here as a producer but the person he contacted doesn’t work here, still, I decided to bring him here because I liked his music,” Tyshae told her team of producers.

They didn’t seem amused, Andy understood why they would feel like that, he was barely an adult, he was eighteen and he didn’t have the right to be here, so, it was hard for someone like him to be respected by people who probably have produced music for very important artists even before he was born.

On the other hand, he knows the looks on their faces, for some reason they were feeling threatened by him, something that doesn’t make any sense because even though he makes music and wants to produce music for other people, he preferred to collab and become an artist himself rather than be in the shadows just like these guys probably loved to be.

“Oh, I forgot to introduce you, guys this is Andy and he’s an incredible producer, he really knows how to make dark melodies,” the woman introduced Andy who bowed after them. “Andy, this is Paul,” she pointed at the bald white guy. “Jeremy,” she pointed at the black guy. “And Peter,” now it was the turn of the short guy.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you guys,” Andy said before he shared a handshake with them.

“What’s your name boy and how can we find you on Youtube?” Asked the black guy.

Andy soon told them his real name and artist name and soon, they started hearing an electronic song that didn’t look too special as it started with a basic rhythm, but soon, the track started to have a calming trance vibe but that didn’t last too long as there was suddenly a dubstep drop.

The dubstep drop turned into a drum n bass drop and everything was accompanied by a very complex melody with a synth and a piano with tons of arpeggios and weird variations, they were also shocked by the chords, and when the song finally finished, they couldn’t help but stare at the young man.

“Amazing, right?” Asked Tyshae with a soft smile.

“It’s a very interesting composition…It’s weird, the song is a combination of many things that shouldn’t be together and yet, it makes sense,” the short white guy, Peter said.

“It’s incredible…But it’s too good to be a pop song, though,” Paul couldn’t help but say with a bitter expression.

Andy was starting to think he was imagining things or something because he was feeling like this guy Paul didn’t like him and that was fine, as an artist he was used to haters but he didn’t do anything to this guy, Andy couldn’t help but smirk, the man was insecure he was feeling threatened by him, knowing that made Andy feel full of himself.

“Yeah, that’s the sad thing and with Billboard's rules about remixing you can’t even be a quarter of this creative,” Jeremy couldn’t help but sigh, he felt like it could be interesting to show the raw talent of the young man but he knew that no executive would approve of promoting an artist like Andy.

“Well, shall we start?” Paul said trying to not sound too bitter. “You can sit back there boy while the grown-ups work, okay?” Paul said in a sarcastic tone as if he were speaking to a child, the short white guy laughed alongside him while Jeremy just rolled his eyes.

“Actually, I was wondering if you would do something for us…Just for fun,” Jeremy said with a calm tone.

“What are you talking about Jeremy?” Paul didn’t look amused.

“Well, he certainly knows how to create a strong and dark vibe in his music, and I was wondering I he could work on the track we were going to get rid of,” Jeremy looked at Tyshae trying to find some support in his idea. “I just felt like it’s a waste not to release that song, those lyrics are amazing…This is also a way to pay back to the industry that picked us when we were nothing…We need to help the next generation of producers, we’re not eternal,” Jeremy said with a calm tone.

As for Andy, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, he was going to produce a track for a very important artist, and he was having a hard time believing this was real.
