“Yes, this is perfect, I’ll take this!” Andy said as he touched a black, four-door car.

Yes, this car wasn’t for showing off and it seemed more like the one a family man would use, however, this was perfect for what Andy was planning to do, it’s been a week since the settlement happened and now that he got the money, he was ready to spend it wisely, the first thing he wanted to get was a car so in case he ends up without a home, he can at least put his things in his car, he didn't want to go through the same as the what happened with Anna and her family.

Now, he knows that Roxy wouldn't mind him staying in her home for as long as he wanted, however, they hadn’t shared a word since the settlement happened, and it was getting kind of uncomfortable, that’s why Andy was getting ready to move out but he wasn’t just going to get a new place here, he was ready to leave this state, he was going to California.

If he wanted to make it in the music business that was the right place to move, even after taxes, the money from the settlement was good enough for what he was planning to do, he’s going to use the 'YouTuber house' model but in his case, it was going to be for music because he was going to fund a label, that's why he needed to establish himself in California, he’s planning to build a studio in that new home too.

But that’s just the start, he’s going to try to save as much money as he can to get a place for his label, that’s why he wanted to put as much money as he could in his savings account not only in case something happens but also because of the interest rate.

A Few moments later…

“Please sign, here, and here,” the car salesman said as he handled him a contract that Andy signed without thinking twice.

One could say that he was a fool not only because he bought the first car he thought was good enough but also for not reading the contract, however, his parents have a car business too and they sell used cars, he’s been working without pay there ever since he was twelve, he was more than aware of the contracts and he has been studying them since he started to learn how to drive when he was fifteen because one day he wanted to buy a new car, not a used one like his parents wanted him to.

“Okay, now we’re going to need the payment to complete the sale,” the car salesman said and soon, Andy wrote the quantity, 40,000 dollars, it was a huge quantity but he felt this car was the right one for him.

He could use the car for almost anything, he could even sleep there if he wanted to but he was hoping to not spend too much time living in his car, he already had the home of his dreams waiting in California and he was going to see the real state agency in a few days to visit and buy that home as soon as possible.

Soon they finished the paperwork and when they got out of the office, the people in the car agency clapped not only at their salesman but also at Andy, they congratulated him for getting a new car, he finally got everything he needed when it came to paperwork but most important of all, he got the keys. Soon, he said goodbye to everyone and thanked them.

Once he got inside his car and turned the engine on, he felt powerful, his life had changed and it was all thanks to Lucian and the powers he gave him, this was just the start, so, once he felt the car was ready, he got out of the agency and there were many other car businesses nearby, so, when he saw one called “Richards second-hand cars!” he couldn’t help but honk at them, and to say that his parents where shocked to see him would be an understatement.

Andy was hoping for this to be the last encounter with his parents, after all, he had too much information he could use to bring them down and he wasn’t going to hesitate to threaten anyone who dared to try to stop him from achieving his dreams, he was hoping that by honking at their business, he was making sure to make them know their place, they would never be at his level.

He decided to take a trip and move around the city, he was going to take a look for the last time, this city had been nothing but a prison to him ever since he was born, and soon he was going to leave all of this behind just like his friends and everyone he knew once they went to college.

When he arrived back at Roxy’s place, he was expecting to be yelled at or something, he was expecting a reaction from the older woman but she was in the living room watching TV and eating ice cream, she seemed unbothered by his presence.

“Hey,” he said as he joined her in the living room and kissed her on the cheek.

He wanted to make it up to her, he didn’t understand why she had been acting like this since the trial ended, and even though it hurt him to leave her behind, he couldn't stay in this state any longer, the world deserved to hear his music, it would be a crime to not let the world hear his music. After she showed no reaction to his presence, he decided to get to his room and get his things ready.

The plan was simple, he was going to pick up his stuff and stay in a hotel tonight because he was planning to do something fun tonight with some older ladies he met at a certain party, this was the last thing he was planning to do in this city because tomorrow he was planning to get on his way to California.

Andy needed to be there before Saturday, that’s the day he had the appointment to see the home he was already planning to buy, he was tired of depending on other people to have a roof over his head, and he knew he was moving too fast but the sooner he gets a place for his own the sooner he can focus on his musical career and label.

Once he finished picking up all his stuff, he went back to the living room.

“Roxy…I don’t know what I did to make you feel like that but whatever thing I did I’d like to apologize, I don’t want to end on bad terms with you before I leave,” his words now made the older woman look at him.

“Leave? And where do you think you're going? You need to grow up, trust me, I’m more than used to narcissists trying to manipulate me by threatening to leave, you have no power here,” the older woman was clearly not happy.

“Roxy…I’m being completely honest, I already picked up my stuff…I bought a car today and I’m going to stay in a hotel tonight…I’m moving to California tomorrow and I don’t think we’ll ever see each other again, that’s why I wanted to leave on good terms,” Andy tried to explain.

“If you want me to beg you, I’m not going to do that…Do it, you’re free to go, I know you’re going to come back crawling back to me and I’m not going to take you back,” she said with a bitter tone.

She was disappointed because she thought Andy was someone she could trust, someone who shared the same sense of justice as she had but he was quickly bought by money, of course, she wouldn’t understand why would Andy act like that, she had been wealthy ever since she was born and if she could afford to do her justice was because of the checks she gets every months thanks to her shares in her family’s company.

Andy could only sigh and say goodbye to her before he left, he hated when this happened but he wasn’t too worried because he knew what was going to happen.

“Roxane Welsh...Updating current status…Deleting love…Indifference skill +10 levels!” Andy saw in his mind.

He hated to do this, but he couldn’t afford to waste time, he had to remember his goal and why he was doing all this, his musical career was more important than anything else in the world, that’s why thanks to his powers, breakups will never affect him again, so, he blocked and deleted her number, he had no use for someone like her anymore.
