Rose's problem #3

Chapter #3: A millionaire's wish.

To say that Rose Weasley was nervous would be an understatement, she was a mess right now and she didn’t know where she got the strength to tell the older woman everything without crying, and she didn’t know for how long she spoke because she was just speaking at a speed that was beyond the average human speed, and surprisingly neither Harry nor Narcissa stopped her which meant that she wasn’t that bad. 

Still, even if she was the smartest witch of her generation and one of the most powerful, the redhead was still a human with limitations, so, she doesn’t know how long it took her but she suddenly stopped talking, she was panting as she tried to regain some of the oxygen she lost due to the amount of words she said. 

“Harry…What she said about my granddaughter starting everything…Is that the truth?” Asked the older woman with a raised brow. 

Rose forgot about her lack of oxygen the moment she saw the woman changing her stern expression to a more relaxed one, but still, that didn’t mean that the redhead wasn’t worried, actually, to see the older woman so calm made Rose feel more preoccupied, but still, she remained in her position. 

“Yes Cissa…That’s how things happened, and if you need more proof of that I can let you take a look at my memories and I can even swear on my own magic that what the redhead said is nothing but the truth,” Harry said with a calm expression, Rose suddenly blushed when their eyes met for a fraction of a second. 

“I’ll take you on that offer,” Narcissa didn’t wait for too long, and then, she locked eyes with the dark-haired wizard. 

It didn’t take too long for the blonde to open her eyes as wide as she could get them, it seemed like she realized the truth about the situation, but still, if the older woman had some doubts about the memories being manipulated to make Rose look like the victim, Harry had another idea to make the older blonde realize the truth. 

“I, Harry James Potter, swore on my name and magic that the memories were never manipulated and that Rose Weasley’s explanations about the incident are nothing but the truth,” Harry said with a serious expression while holding his wand in the air. 

According to people who have witnessed other people do a magical swearing, if someone is lying, a vortex is going to appear and is going to suck all the magic out of a magical person’s body and then it will erase the memories of them ever using magic, Rose wasn’t sure about the veracity of those claims but she for sure was happy that even after a minute, a vortex never appeared. 

“Okay okay, I get it…You two are telling the truth,” Narcissa said before sighing and Harry now sat beside the redhead. 

Rose was about to say something but she forgot about how to talk the moment the older man placed his hand all over hers, she was a mess right now, she was feeling like collapsing at any moment but then she remembered she wasn’t alone with Harry. 

“So…What does it happen now Narcissa?” Asked the older man with a calm expression. 

“Well, I wish we could forget this ever happened, however, there’s a problem, my son and miss Weasley’s father have a very rough relationship, or that's what I've heard,” Narcissa sighed and Harry and the redhead nodded, that was the truth. 

“I’m sure Draco is a reasonable man if you speak with him Cissa, I would do it but even if we solved our feud, we're not that close…” Harry tried to find a solution for this and the older woman suddenly sighed. 

“That’s true Harry but ever since he got in charge of his father’s businesses after he got sent to Azkaban, it has been too hard for me to interfere with his life, and it’s worst now that he’s married because in the past he used to long for my approval, but now that he has his wife I don’t hold the same level of authority as I had back then,” Narcissa sighed. 

“Are you sure there’s nothing you can do about it? What if I come with you and we talk with Draco together?” Harry suggested and Rose’s heart warmed, she was having a hard time believing he would go so far just to help her. 

The younger woman knows about the rough relationship between the heir of the Malfoy family and Harry, so, for him to swallow his pride to help her only makes her heart feel warm, she was on the verge of tears but she managed to not lose control of her emotions. 

Narcissa suddenly got on her feet and moved around the room, she was searching for something and she didn’t say a word while she was doing this, Harry and Rose suddenly saw her grabbing a bottle of wine from a big collection of wines, the older witch didn’t waste time and she started to pour some for her. 

“That may work…However,” the blonde suddenly said with a calm expression. 

Rose’s hope died almost as fast as it came to her, she was wondering why the blonde was hesitating so much, but still, she realized she was in no position to ask for special treatment, after all, it’s natural for people to support their family members even if they’re in the wrong in the situation. 

“I won’t do it for free,” the blonde suddenly said. 

The moment she heard those words, Rose’s world shattered, she was already thinking about the money she could lose due to a misunderstanding, her family was going to get destroyed now and her mom’s political career for sure was going to get destroyed too. 

Still, Rose decided to not cry, she remained in the same position while waiting for Narcissa to say something else but the blonde was only staring at her with a curious look, it seemed like the blonde had noticed the way Rose felt but just like the younger woman, the blonde was able to handle her emotions extraordinarily. 

“Mrs. Black…I would do anything to solve this, just tell me what you want,! The redhead said desperately and Narcissa suddenly smirked. 

“Well…I certainly want something from you but you’re not the only one I want to do something for me…I want Harry to get involved too,” the older woman suddenly giggled. “Don’t worry Harry…If miss Weasley here accepts my proposal, I’m sure you’re going to have a good time, trust me,” Narcissa laughed after she said this. 

Narcissa loved every second of this, someone of her status had the world in the palm of her hands, if she wanted something she could get it in a matter of seconds, and if the thing she wants doesn’t exist, she was able to make other people make that wish come true because that’s the power someone with so much money and influence holds. 

“Well, as you two know I can get anything just by snapping my fingers, so, very few things surprise me these days and it’s easy for me to get bored, I crave some spice in my life, and that spice comes in the form of people’s drama but sadly, it’s difficult to get people to let me witness the drama in their lives due to privacy and all that crap,” the older woman sighed defeated. 

“So, do you want me to bring drama to Rose's life?” Asked the older man a little confused. 

“You don’t have to start anything because there’s already some drama between you two, I can feel the tension but you two are the only ones ignoring it,” the older woman said with a serious expression. 

“W-what do you mean?” Asked the younger redhead before gulping, she was fearing she had been caught. 

“It’s obvious that there are some interesting feelings between you two and I want you to solve them,” Narcissa said bluntly, she managed to surprise not only Rose but Harry too. “And don’t look at me like that, it’s obvious that you two are hiding the way you two feel towards each other and it’s natural for you to do that, after all, this is something that should not be happening,” Narcissa added and Harry and Rose were shocked to hear those words. 

They remained in silence for a few moments, neither Harry nor Rose looked at each other but they could feel the tension in the air and Narcissa was right, they tried to avoid this at any cost but their efforts were useless against the older witch’s perception.

“Because if you don’t clarify your feelings I’m afraid my granddaughter could ask Harry to marry her in exchange for forgiving you dear, and if you think you’re going to defeat someone so much power and influence in the ministry as Draco in courts, well, I’m afraid that you two are living in a different reality,” the blonde said trying to encourage them to be honest so she could help them.

Rose and Harry realized that the blonde was right, they needed to be fast and clarify this, the one who was tired of running away was Rose, it was time for her to be honest, even if she got rejected at least she’d be able to move on, suddenly Harry and Rose looked into each other’s eyes.

“I’m in love with you!” The two of them said at the same time.

To say that they were shocked would be a very short-sighted conclusion.
