Chapter 33: No fear, destination: darkness

Andy didn’t understand what was happening in front of her, there was a known figure for her, the figure of her deceased mother was looking at her in a defiantly way, Andy looked at her with an angry expression as she gritted her teeth, she got her wand ready for whatever thing was about to happen.

- Seriously Andromeda? You’re twenty years too young to challenge me, get out of here! – Her mother told her and mocked her at the same time.

But Andy didn’t turn back, she had a challenging look on her face.

- Andy, do you want me to help you? – Asked Harry before Andy raised her hand to stop him.

- Thanks for your offer Harry but… This is something that I must do alone – Harry looked at her for some seconds before he nodded.

Druella looked at Harry and sent him a glare, the raven-haired man was surprised by her behavior.

- That hair… That damn messy hair, you must be a Potter – Druella said looking at Harry's hair – Not bad Andromeda, I must admit that you have good taste... But he's too young for you though – Andy felt uncomfortable right now - And you dare to call us degenerate when you're chasing schoolboys! - Druella mocked her.

Andy tried to think clearly as her real objective was the diary that the woman was carrying, still, she tried to understand what was happening, what was this magic, was this just an illusion placed by her mother to avoid someone from stealing her diary? Or it is her actual spirit that’s still haunting this placed even years after she died. There must be some important stuff written in that diary if she made sure to put a lot of security on it.

Andy didn’t have time to think as the figure of her mother sent her many fire spells continuously, the oldest Black sister barely managed to avoid them, Harry just looked at her with a worried expression and gripped his wand, he felt bad that he couldn't help her, still, he didn’t’ interfere with their fight, he knew that this was something that Andy needed to do, this was the first step for her to overcome her fears.

The eldest Black sister came back to reality and started to fire back her mother’s spells, she parried them with a shield spell, and that caused some of them to land on many of the bookshelves in the library making them fall on the ground, all the bookshelves fell like domino pieces.

- Not bad… If only you didn’t turn into such a blood traitor you would’ve been my favorite daughter… Why, why you had to do that to us! – The blonde woman complained.

- Because you are wrong… You have always been wrong – Said Andy trying to suppress the sadness that invaded her.

Druella simply changed her expression for a more serious one and started to get ready to start a stronger attack, Andy and Harry were surprised when Druella changed her position for a more calm one, she started mumbling some things in an ancient language that they hadn’t heard before.

Andromeda and Harry looked at each other with confusion on their faces trying to figure out what was happening, but neither of them knew the answer, meanwhile, Druella is still chanting her words and suddenly, her body started to glow.

- Stop this at once! – Complained Andy before she conjured a thunder spell against her mother’s figure.

But nothing happened, the spell landed on Druella’s body but it didn’t have any effect on her, it was as if the energy that was surrounding her mother absorbed her spell, seconds later, Druella opened her eyes and revealed that they were glowing too, Andy couldn’t do anything against her as a few moments later, she moved at an incredible speed and placed herself behind Andromeda.

The only thing that Andy could do was to see her mother’s wicked smile before she applied a thunder spell against her, Andy’s screams echoed around through the room.

- Andy! – Harry screamed and at that moment, he snapped, he couldn’t stand there just watching Andy getting hurt, he was ready to attack Andy’s mother who was looking down on her daughter.

Andy was on the ground shaking and trembling, her spit started to fell out from her mouth, Druella just looked at her with a serious expression.

- Pathetic – Mumbled Druella as she watched her daughter agonizing.

Druella thought for a moment what kind of punishment her daughter deserved before she looked at Harry, and suddenly an idea came into her head that made her smile in a wicked way.

- You really care for that boy right? – Asked her mother as she saw that she was looking at Harry.

The green-eyed man was ready for what was about to come, if he had to fight her, he would do it, he wasn’t afraid of anything, he had decided to attack Druella to stop her from hurting Andy more.

But she was too fast, in a small fraction of seconds before Harry conjured his spell, Druella quickly moved and placed behind Harry, the younger man couldn’t believe what happened, she was too fast, at the sight of this and without knowing where she got her strength, Andy got back to her feet again as she looked at the scene of her mother ready to attack Harry.

- I wonder what will felt worse for you… If I take him or if I kill him – Druella laughed – Accept it… You failed, once again you failed, just like all your life has been Andromeda, if only you have listened to us – Added the mother – Your husband ran away from you because he knew that you were a failure and look at you now… You’re proving us that we were right about you – Druella smirked at her – Your daughter is a freak, your novels suck… And everything just because the young lady wanted to live as a free person, YOU WERE FREE BEFORE! – Druella yelled at her angrily.

Andy tried to point her wand towards her mother, but she couldn’t, the memories from the past came once again back to her head, the physical and verbal abuse from her parents that tried to make her into the perfect witch, they wanted her to become the next ministry to eliminate all the mudbloods.

- Don’t you dare… If you try to attack me, I’ll kill this boy in a matter of a fraction of seconds so… Don’t try to push your luck – Threatened the blonde woman.

Andy realized that what her mother was saying was the truth, she was a failure and proved it once again by getting defeated so easily, or at least that’s what she thought.

- Andy… Get back to your feet! – Harry said, not caring at all for the woman that was restricting him – Don’t listen to her… You’re an amazing woman and mother… If it wasn’t for you and your constant support I don’t know how I would have turned out… Your family loves you, we love you, you’re a beautiful and amazing person, and your novels don’t suck, they’re just too complex for the dumb average wizard! – Druella was getting angrier as Harry spoke – Any man would have loved to be with you, and that includes me! – Those words made Andy snap.

With some difficulties due to the fact that her mother attacked her before, she still felt some of the consequences of that spell, still, she managed to overcome the pain and was ready to attack her mother.

- Andy… No spell will hurt her unless you use the correct one – Harry looked at her in a serious way – She’s not real, she’s a boggart, you know what to do! – Andy’s eyes widened after she heard that and she smirked.

Her biggest fear was in front of her, she’s a boggart, Harry's reasoning made a lot of sense.

- Ridiculous! – Said Andy with a smirk on her face and her mother’s figure was quickly replaced with another thing.

Her mother’s figure turned into some sort of headless statue that moved around the place trying to get back her head, but she couldn't, but that didn’t last, that illusion disappeared and the whole room lighted again, but it was natural light, her mother’s figure left behind the diary and Harry caught it quickly before he ran towards Andy, the older woman fell onto her knees tired, this took too much energy for her.

When Harry finally reached her, he embraced her and she started to cry, she did it for some minutes and when she calmed, she looked at Harry’s face before she started to caress it with her hands and suddenly, she did something that neither of them expected, she just let herself go and kissed Harry on his lips.

The younger man was confused, but little by little, he returned the kiss with almost as the same intensity that Andy was doing kissing him, it was a soft and caring kiss, but it didn’t last too much and after they realized what happened, they blushed and looked away embarrassed, Harry was surprised after he did that because he realized that it was already the middle of the day.

- God, how much time passed? – Asked the raven-haired man.

Andy tried to answer his question, but she fell unconscious onto the ground, Harry started to get worried and placed her in his arms, he moved as fast as he could and finally reached the front door, but when he opened the door, he was surprised about two things.

The first one is that, the sun was practically above him, they spend almost a day in there? It seems like time really is relative, but the other thing that he had to worry about is that there were a bunch of Aurors outside the house pointing their wands at him as he carried the older woman.

- Wait, this is a misunderstanding! – Harry said trying to protect himself and the woman that he was carrying.

- Harry!? – A female said and Harry smiled when he heard her.

- Dora! We need to take care of your mother, can we answer questions later!? – Harry asked worried about Andy.

Nymphadora looked at the figure of her mother.

- Don’t tell me that you’re faking this so Harry could carry you – Thought Nymphadora, she was about to put her finger on her throat to test her but she decided not to – Let’s see what’s going on, why don’t you go with the higher officer and explain to him what happened? – Asked Dora with a smile on her face.

Harry did as he was told and told the Auror what happened.

- I’m sorry Mr. Potter, but the presence of a UFO was reported to the British air forces and when they explained the form of the object we decided to follow it until it stopped here – The officer explained.

- Yeah… This house had some kind of spell that made it move around the places in the world randomly, we needed to take out something from the house, but it seems like it finally stopped and came back to its original place – Said Harry as he saw the cemetery that he saw with Andy a day before on a top of a hill.

Meanwhile, Nymphadora was checking her mother's condition, she checked her pulse and her heartbeat, also touched her in many places of her body, the younger woman smirked before an idea came into her head.

She prepared herself and seconds later, her hands were cupping Andy’s breasts, the younger woman smirked feeling her breasts after that she realized that she did something stupid, but Andy suddenly woke up violently, she was about to punch Nymphadora but she realized that it was her who was groping.

- Weren't you sick dear mother? – Dora mocked her.

- Nymphadora, what the hell!? – Andy complained – What are you doing here? – Andy tried to hide her embarrassment.

- Geez, at least an “I’m glad to see you safe dear daughter” would be great. saying it doesn't hurt! – Nymphadora complained – I was training with this squad and they send us to take care of your little UFO – Nymphadora helped her to get to her feet.

Andromeda placed her arms on Nymphadora’s shoulders and the young metamorphmagus helped her to walk slowly.

- Seriously mom? Faking a disease to catch Harry’s attention – Nymphadora mocked her.

- Hey… I’m just trying to break this curse Dora I need to use my best tricks! – Nymphadora laughed at her mother’s antics.

After that, Harry came back with them and smiled seeing that Andy was back on her feet again.

- I’m glad that nothing happened to you Andy – Harry smiled at her and she blushed – I’ll take care of your mom, I'll get her back to Grimmauld place, I’ll let you work as it seems like they’re going to investigate the house – Harry added and Nymphadora nodded.

They said their goodbyes, hugged her, and kissed her cheeks before they disappeared.

Once they got there, Cissa and Bella were painting the nails of their hands but quickly stopped when they saw Harry helping Andy.

- What happened? – Asked Cissa worried before taking Harry’s place to help her older sister.

- A battle inside the house… It left me exhausted – Andy answered before sitting on the couch.

- At least you’re safe, we were starting to get worried, almost two days passed since you went to Germany, we were about to call the English embassy in Germany for them to search for you! – Cissa commented and Harry was shocked to hear that.

- I thought that we have been out less than a day! – Harry couldn’t believe it.

- That’s part of the enchantment of the house Harry, it makes it seem as if time goes at a normal speed but that’s just an illusion, that’s just a tool to use it to speed up a person’s life and eventually its death – Bella said and Harry gulped, they were close to that.

- It doesn’t matter… I got the diary! – Said Andy triumphally before Harry handed her the diary, her sisters sighed.

Andy was unstoppable when it was about books, the older sister looked at the diary while the rest of the people in the room sighed, the last thing they did was helping her to get to her room to let her work.

The night finally came and Harry was ready to sleep before he remembered the events that happened during the day, and above everything… The kiss that he shared with Andy, He didn’t know what it meant and he wanted to ask her, he had to.

He walked towards her room but when he knocked on her door and she didn’t answer he opened it himself, he was glad that the door wasn’t locked, and the reason why she didn’t open the door was that she was already sleeping on her desk.

The younger man smiled and took her in his arms before he placed her on her bed, Harry sat for a few moments on the bed and looked at the beauty that was in front of him, he was about to go when Andy suddenly opened her eyes.

She did something that Harry didn’t expect again, she took him by his chin and kissed him again, without explanations or questions, she just did what she wanted.
