Not looking to argue and I like where we're at so the only thing I'll mention is that I think I misspoke slightly about Eric watching a lot of stuff, therefore, coming with this meta approach, since they've all watched a shitload. Rather it's more so that this is just Eric's way of processing this show, which fortunately (or unfortunately) has worked for him in past episodes IMO.

2023-04-02 23:05:23 +0000 UTCYeah I agree Fro and I understand but at the same time Rick, Aaron and Calvin all watch a lot of shows as well and they don't nearly bring up meta aspects as much as Eric. Like I said I get Eric's always sort of been that way, it just seems like lately he's been more fixated about the meta of things in general to the point where he and Aaron (& even Rick and Calvin) are almost butting heads in a lot of reactions. And a few times it really does bring the discussion to a complete halt as the other 3 are trying to figure out what Erics point is. Again, not trying to talk shizz or say Eric is doing something wrong or needs to stop. Personally as some one who grew up as a Canadian farm boy myself I've always heavily related to Eric and just kinda miss the more relaxed and fun side of his reactions. ✌🏻Peace✌🏻 💓Love💓 ✊🏻Respect✊🏻

2023-04-02 22:46:57 +0000 UTCyeah I think I agree with Fro here, as Eric has been watching stuff like this his whole life, it's impossible to ignore the meta conversation, and I also think that conversation holds value in just about every work of media. it def isn't hijacking the entire discussion, it's just a point, which i find valid but i hear ya.

2023-04-02 18:06:44 +0000 UTCI'm not the hugest fan of dark (as in i don't know every detail) but i feel like it's hard for someone like Eric that watches alot of stuff to ignore the meta stuff, like i get it sucks when 'shuts down' abit although i haven't watched the ep yet. I feel like it has served him well sometimes like with the Adam reveal, it's also just an aspect of watching many shows that you can't ignore the meta stuff, i'd rather he keeps speaking what he's thinking on that stuff than kinda trying to trick himself into not thinking in a 'meta' way it if that makes sense. I get what you're saying but also kinda see where he's coming from sometimes <3

2023-04-02 16:17:47 +0000 UTCI wish Eric would try to focus less on the meta aspect of the shows they watch. At the start of the discussion I was pleasantly surprised that he was actually engaging with the rest of the crew, something he hasn't done much of with these Dark reactions. But then half way through when they started talking about loopholes Eric once again fixates on the Meta of trying to figure out the "Writers intentions" rather then discussing the actual show, story and characters. Which leads to another episode of Eric & Aaron going back and fourth "Yeah, I kinda get what you're saying" then after that Eric pretty much shuts down and the discussion reverts back to mainly just Aaron, Rick and Calvin talking about the show. It's not a huge complaint and I understand Eric has always been more generally "concerned" with the Meta of things but it just seems like he's been doing it a lot more with the shows they react to. lol I really don't think you need numerous multi-colored pens for shows like Ben 10 and Batman the Animated Series or even Dark. The thing that sold me years ago on the BW crew was friends having fun reacting and having interesting discussions and not necessarily reacting like their prepping for a College exam lol. Anyways sorry for the long post, honestly not trying to throw shade ✌🏻Peace✌🏻 💓Love💓 ✊🏻Respect✊🏻
