I would love to see some of what Joel did in the following days/weeks after the outbreak and the death of Abby.

I've liked them so far. As a viewer who hasn't played the games, I think they are a good way to show the events before the main plot that are important to the story. The way it's done with one scene per episode works well. The other way they could have been done, which I my opinion would have been worse, is to have an episode that is all flashbacks leading up to the main plot of the series.

I love the openings for confirming that mad lad Aaron was right, it did spread through the flour. I'm not great at noticing subtle details, but I watched the episode twice before seeing your reactions and still didn't clock it until Aaron said something. I'm dumb as hell, but it is really fun to rewatch the episodes with you guys and see things I hadn't before. Hoping future openings confirm more of your theories.

Honestly, I'd say less is more. Do we need to see every detail of how the cordyceps took over humans? I'd say no. I don't really care how it happened, I'm more interested in the cast living in this world afterwards.

Loved it, more flashbacks. I'm not sure if this will make sense but I also really appreciated that they portrayed the Jakartan response as smart, thoughtful and thorough rather than the usual tropey "it happened in a third county so huge sloppy errors were made" outbreak style seen in other movies. I never thought of this while gaming but the scene with Joel reloading his gun .. wouldn't it be cool if he could use his empty shell casings in his pocket to throw and make noise?
