I found the Reach story to be the most interesting in this episode. Mostly because I just didn't expect Kai to go the route she did. I just assumed it was going to be a fairly standard "other brainwashed soldier sees the MC acting weird and reports them" kind of deal. Seeing her take the initiative to also remove her inhibitor was kinda refreshing to me, honestly.

2022-04-18 01:11:58 +0000 UTCI am intrigued about the other Spartans (although the petty politicking is tedious, and the Keyes/Parangosky storyline hasn't explained yet why I should care about them...), but Master Chief/Halsey is definitely the more interesting (I've never played Halo, so am unaware of the mythology/world etc). Kwan is just annoying - a whiny kid - although I'm sure she'll be important for the core story at some point - but I don't understand why Soren isn't more pissed about his ship - surely they're not cheap... I'm also bemused by some of the plot choices. It's the far future, and yet rather than using ground-penetrating radar to find an object, they just dig random holes? And the motorbike chase was lame. Finally, I want to see Burn Gorman defy typecasting and be a hero at some point (likely in another show) - it would really throw everyone who has seen him in other shows :)
