Honestly, if they'd tested to 5 episodes here, and just released them over the next 5 weeks, then 5 episodes next year, and so on, I wouldn't be mad, but because Four-sight rider is where episode 5 is locked right now, that means that truly only 1 episode is being released a year. If you released all the episodes you'd reacted to, then next year did the same thing, I'd be more than happy because I understand OP is a hell of a commitment, but it's hard to feel like this isn't a 'fuck you' to all the people who wanted One Piece on the channel

Guys, you can defend them with "it was just an obvious joke" then use arguments like what patreon tiers they put the episodes into. It's a joke or it's not, simply not putting tiers would have make this VERY clear. What's your explanation on "fourtnight rider" meaning TWO YEARS and not two weeks ? None, because it makes no sense. They did a mistake, and we just want them to aknowledge it instead of saying "u don't get jokes" And really, is the joke that good ? OP fans would be sad, and non OP fans would just not f*cking care ! Well, no OP fans don't care but still defend Blind Wave like their own money is at stake.

2022-04-11 09:44:27 +0000 UTCMan I feel late to the "party" but I had no idea that there was so much outrage going on over the april fools joke. I just figured I might as well throw my opinion into the situation. As someone who was already a four-sight rider, and someone who doesn't watch One Piece, I thought the April fools joke was funny. I also personally thought the joke was pretty obvious, with them not hiding the fact that the episodes would be once a year, not week. That being said I do think the best way to handle this would have been to only release 1 episode, only on Youtube, and not put the other 4 on patreon. This way the joke would have been obvious and people wouldn't have felt like they were scammed into spending up to $15 on patreon. I personally don't view this as a scam, since patreon is a monthly subscription and if they had realized they would upset people this badly that it could make them lose pledges for future months it actually hurts them more than it benefits them, so I think it was just a mistake and not a "cash grab." That being said I feel like if you were spending $15 a month just for One Piece reactions then pledging to Blind Wave probably wasn't worth the price, even if you would get 1 more episode a week for the rest of the month and beyond
