So in terms of how they did Alex's death, they had to retroactively kill him after they they had essentially got done filming. They added that scene of him having stroked out, then added the scene or perhaps just part of the scene with Naomi and Holden talking about it, and then they edited him out of the final scenes at the party on Luna. He was sitting on the couch with Naomi and Holden originally.

Nacho wasn’t in breaking bad, but he was mentioned a single time. In the first episode Saul shows up in, when Walt and Jessie bring him out to the desert to threaten him, he says “It wasn’t me, it was Ignacio!” That one line, and thus a character is born.

Happy The Expanse AND Better Call Saul day. I agree with Eric that the way Alex is done still feels weird, but the fact that 3 out of 4 of them didn't notice shows how good a job they did retroactively changing the ending (the allegations/investigation happened after the season was already filmed). Though I would have liked maybe just a montage of his family preparing his funeral over Naomi's monologue, there was probably a limit to how much Amazon was willing to spend on reshoots. I mean, they only greenlit 6 episodes for the final season. :(

I don't know all the details myself but I understand there were a LOT of accusations of harrassment levelled against him including from people who had worked on the show and who had met him through conventions he had attended as a representative of the show. They also got in some independent investigators to look into it for several months before the decision was made to axe him. As much as it annoys me due to the negative impact it has on the show, I do think it seems like they made the best choice

Nice, I just started a rewatch of BB, and have been meaning to get caught up on BCS, seeing as I stopped after season 3. So this will be a nice compliment to that.

The actor for Alex was fired after filming due to many many allegations of sexual misconduct with a decent amount of evidence to back it up so I believe they retroactively changed it so he died (not 100% sure on that bit though)

I'm not sure about the details but Alex's death wasn't planned I don't think. There were some allegations made against the actor and I think the writers decided to kill him off at the end of this season. Don't want to into it anymore in case of spoilers for the next season.

I’m not 100% informed but there were reports of sexual misconduct with Alex’s actor. I don’t know how true they are but that was most likely the reason for the sudden death.
