I mean the name makes sense when you know a bit more context, but yeah it would sound odd if you don't know. I'm not sure what the 'stay night' bit actually means though. Heck, even the fate franchise with the longest and most convoluted name makes sense once you're in deep enough (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya).

Regardless of the animation or story that these Fate movies have, they really should have come up with a better title. It’s just as bad as Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Actually it’s worse. But I’m bias as it looks just like the anime I tried to avoid.

Do you mean the Heaven's Feel trilogy? Don't do that, because it assumes you have watched Fate: UBW first. Otherwise what makes them good is: Fate/Zero: it is legendary heroes from throughout history fighting to the death with magic powers and a great story. Fate UBW: Good story / great animation. Watching Zero first makes it better though. Heaven's Feel: Confusing but good story with wtfomgbbq level animation

Fate is good but apparently Blind waves fans have a significant portion that hate anything anime and complain about it. Then complain even more when it is pointed out that they've done like 7 fast and furious movies. Then complain Even more if someone points out that it hasn't been back to back Fate or F&F movies and we've had other good movies like Train to Busan in between.

It’s pretty good if it’s your thing. My advice is start with the Fate/Zero or Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works TV series first though. Starting from these movies won’t make a whole lot of sense, because they assume you’ve watched at least UBW.

Lmao. Just laughing at the people hating on anime cause their precious shitty so called "live action" movies don't get the wins. I don't even care for fate but it is just funny to see the minority getting mad and accusing it of being shit and only for kids. Also laughing at the fact they think blind wave for whatever reason doesn't want to even watch anime but they do it because it is the majority audience. If they didn't like anime they wouldn't have started it in the first place. All of them had already been invested in anime one way or another before blind wave even started. Dragonball Z or Pokemon or the few that Rick has seen and I am pretty sure Calvin has seen a couple as well. Goes to show they are more open and happy with anime since they are giving it more time and slots. Its also an added bonus that anime is way more popular with views than a lot of that other stuff that isn't anime.
