Unfortunately, masses of people have been shown to be drawn to narcissistic psychopaths, particularly when they feel angry and/or disenfranchised. They're great at manipulating people and giving speeches. One of the scarier things about human nature (and what it says about the future of our species) is how easily we're manipulated by figures like him.
