Excluding Cap and....well Cap, I would get Warmachine, Falcon, Abomination (who in "The Consultant" One-Shot, was revealed to be who was selected for the Avengers if they couldn't control the Hulk.) and pull out Isaiah Bradley from retirement/hiding. After that, any of the Defenders would have been a good choicem but most of them didn't even become hereos until AFTEr the Battle for New york, outside of these, I am absolutely convinced Fury could easily negotiate and talk Sif and the Warriors Three to betray Loki and help free Earth from his reign. The real tricky part is pre-Avengers...there wasn't really a lot of actual heroes around or people who had the means to BE Avengers, since many of them required the events from the MCU to bring them in to the fold of being a superhero (no Scott Lang Ant-man in this universe for example)

Capitain America and Capitain Marvel stops Loki. Then Capitain Marvel goes out in space as she always do. Capitain America works for Fury, probably discory Bucky again. Skovia will probably not happen so no Zemo and therefore no murder of King T'challa. Spiderman maybe will be found out by Fury when he trying to find more Avengers. Dr Strange will be there. And Thanos will still serach for all stone so eventually he will come to Earth for at least Time stone and power stone that have been there since at least WW2.

I'd say someone not yet featured in the MCU, but still familiar. Luke Cage is the first one to spring to my mind, but there are plenty of others (for example, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. crew, Mockingbird, Namor, and any of the X-Men) and then there's the characters who have shown up in the MCU, but have not been featured (which, to me, means being in a starring role), like Black Goliath (Bill Foster), from Ant-Man and the Wasp.

It would be Captain America, Captain Marvel, War Machine, Doctor Strange and possibly Black Panther. As for Loki, I doubt that he stayed in power for too long since I don't think that Odin and Frigga would be all too happy when they find out that Loki has invaded Midgard.

It can't be Spider-Man, because he's like 8 right now and doesn't even have powers, as seen in Iron Man 2 (he was retconned to be in it at the Expo). Black Panther is an option, as is Emil Blonsky, who did have a version of the Super Soldier serum in him before the fight at the university. It was Hulk's blood that made him Abomination, so he would still be viable as a super soldier.

One word. X-Men. Or is that technically two? Meh, either way, X-Men. It might be a little difficult, seeing as we've not yet had the pleasure of seeing any of them in the MCU, other than Pietro/Ralph Bohner. But it's Marvel, so I think they can pull it off. Plus, it'd be an interesting turn of events. Instead of the Avengers, he becomes his own Professor X and recruits the X-Men. Sounds good.

All possibilities aside, the first recruit has to be Spider man! following the timeline of the show, it seems to be hitting the movies in a somewhat chronological order that makes sense for "Homecoming" or even "Far From Home" to be featured next (especially with Tony gone). What if peter never met Tony...?

Even though you really only need Captain Marvel, for a 6-person team to take down Loki and the Asgardian army, I'd go: Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man (Rhodey), Black Panther (T'Challa supposedly became BP before Tony announced himself as Iron Man according to a prelude comic), Abomination, and a defected Lady Sif. Falcon's my first substitute in case any don't work out.

He could still recruit Black Panther, War Machine, Falcon since they'd be relatively unaffected by this "what if" I think, and he could eventually get Bucky, Wanda and Quicksilver. Spider-Man is out of the picture at this point, since he'd be to young. And assuming the evens of Doctor Strange still takes place, he could possibly eventually recruit him as well.

I'd say bring Quake in, but this is too early for that (this would be 4 years before AoS even started), so instead I'll go with Lady Sif. We already see her trying to hold Loki back in this episode saying that "it's not what the all-father would want", so I could see her defecting, especially when she learns how noble and well-intentioned humans like Steve Rogers and Phil are. Also it would be an excuse to hear her call AC Son of Coul again, which I always love.

I say why not both. He could recruit people that we have seen in the MCU, and some people that we haven't seen yet.

So thinking about my alternate Avengers; We'd still have Steve, Sam and Captain Marvel. T'Challa, Spiderman, Dr Strange and Bucky would also all likely still come in later but this is still what 2011/2012? So T'Challa is still in Wakanda, Peter is still a little kid, Strange is still an actual doctor and Bucky is still being a murder bot. Agent May to fill the spot for Black Widow seems natural. Coulson could talk her into it just like he convinced her in AoS to go back into the field.
