The Walking Dead 11x1 - Poll!

If you were Negan, would you have made the decision he made at the end of the episode, and why?

None of the group helped him with the huge walker earlier in the episode, and Maggie has made it clear she wants him dead. Negan has to know there is no redemption with her. Also, from a storytelling point, it's the act that will put her over the edge when she returns.

SIDE NOTE!... how the hell did Yumiko and Eugene get that armour? How did they get out of the cage? Is this another princess vision? It felt like a lot to just magically skip over.

Negan let Simon (Trevor from GTA) fight him for the right to lead the Saviors, so he doesn't strike me as the type to kill someone in such a cowardly way as Mufasa-ing them... but I guess that's why he's great, you never know what he might do!

Harvey H

I can see why he walked away. She wouldn't help him once he's exceeded his usefulness and he knows that. Also, Maggie didn't help him with The Walker earlier. Doesn't make him right though.

no.... all lives count + she has a kid

Screw Maggie. TEAM NEGAN 4 LIFE

When they’re first in the subway station, it’s made very clear, both visually and verbally, that Negan has no friends in this group. He has to look out for himself because no one has his back, even when he’s making valid points. He knows most people hate him and has pointed out in previous episodes, when the general populace of Alexandria are riled up, that he wants to be less visible. He knows he’s an easy target and had been living on thin ice. When they cast him out when Maggie returned, and he came back, he made a decision to live on his own terms, not everyone else’s. No more thin ice. Living day to day with the thought of “Will they or won’t they?” is over. Putting myself in his shoes, I can’t blame him for what he did. I’m not saying it was the right decision but I can’t fault him for doing it. My reaction watching it was a disappointed tsk, “Oh Negan” , and shaking my head.

If I was Him Yh I would leave Maggie in an instant but I would probably regret doing it

I wouldn’t have simply because any progress he has made with getting on everyone’s good side is going to be out the window. Maggie is going to survive and immediately kill him. But I also don’t understand Maggie. She had the opportunity to kill Negan in season 9 but didn’t. She decided leaving him alive would make him suffer more. I don’t fully understand why she’s back to wanting to kill him.

I wonder if it’s a case pf we’ve not seen the full scene and he’s grabbing something or someone to help get her up because she was pretty low down being grabbed I think it’s possibly a misdirect to make us think he’s left her

Nice

It doesn't matter how much good he's done with killing Alpha and helping people since because Maggie will still kill him. He both deserves it for Glenn/Abraham and many others but on the other hand he's so valuable alive. If she'd died then they would have stormed the walkers in the train car and died themselves because she wasn't there to stop them. Difficult one.

Yes and yes. I agree 👍

Yes

He should have tried to help her. Strategically he could have proved at least to Daryl that he’s with Alexandria and rubbed it in her face in the future, which I think he would have enjoyed and would have strengthened his position. It also seems like he miscalculated her a bit. If he wants her to die, he should wait to make sure shes actually dead. If she’s made it to this point with a young child she is clearly capable, and is likely to find a way out of this situation.

Miss Timi Fantastico

Nah, she is still a mother at the end of the day.

Jamie O'Brien

I would save her to show the community I'm the team player and she is the obsessed widow putting her issues first. Turning them to my side. Trevor was the killer, Negan was the thinker. And it waste the long time we spent on making Negan someone we can root for and want the community to trust when he use Glen name and leave Maggie. He should be killed.

Doby Greg

Well... It's a weird world. Yeah, he sees her as a real threat to his life. Why would he save someone that would prefer him dead? Negan is the personification of survival.

Michael De Tie

why so trollish

Jason Usher

Yes I would because she litterally just told him that killing him is always on her mind and any minute the piece of herslef that is keeping her from doing it could go away, so its self preservation and Maggie would have done the same thing

Jason Usher

Wait, Walking Dead is still going? Geez I thought that show died like 3 seasons ago.

Erich Bomke

Man if I was Negan I would've not killed Glen. However, tension aside, I think he made the wrong call.
