That was my sentiment too. It felt too much like just a slightly different version of Cap, where as Star Lord TChalla just went crazy left with it's plot.
2021-08-26 04:11:15 +0000 UTCStar lord TChalla what if felt more like a what if then captain Carter what if . Not saying it’s bad it’s just the second episode was better

2021-08-25 12:44:43 +0000 UTCCurious on both but I think the second episode showed the differences made by T'challa's presence alot more so I picked it reflexively. I feel like the Captain Carter episode focused more on the set up and Star Lord T challa on the aftermath if that makes any sense. Seeing how integral Captain America was to the MCU it would be interesting to see how things would change. Would Tony Stark still become Iron Man? Would Captain Carter befriend Falcon? Civil War?

2021-08-25 00:01:15 +0000 UTCI'd love to see whatever sit-down discussion T'Challa had with Thanos that made him rethink his future plans.
2021-08-24 21:56:14 +0000 UTCUnfortunately because they only chose to feature Carter's story, people think not much changed, whereas alit would be different considering the interactions the captain would have had with the wider earth heroes.

2021-08-24 08:30:27 +0000 UTCI would like to see a movie in the Captain Carter Universe. Just because of the ripple effects of Peggy being the super soldier and how that would affect the Avengers, the forming of S.H.I.E.L.D, Tony growing up with a Iron Man style suit around, etc. Maybe Hank Pym was a hero in this Universe. For T'Challa Star Lord there is not much left. Most interesting stuff is in the Collectors collection. And the Universe is doomed. Not as much room for other interesting stories.

2021-08-24 06:23:04 +0000 UTCIn principle more T’Challa would be great. But knowing we'll never get more Chadwick, I'm happy with this being his character's last role. It's him as a hero who managed to accomplish things the other heroes couldn't (like talking down Thanos) - letting his legacy rest on a high note.

2021-08-24 04:17:23 +0000 UTCPick which one? *T'Challa voice* We don't do that here............j/k I would like to see how they deal with Ego, and see if that universe survives.

2021-08-24 04:07:09 +0000 UTCI love the Star-lord T'challa episode. The only problem I have is that for both episodes they don't really show any blood and scrapes or even after a sword was in T'challa's shoulder there wasn't a wound afterward. It's not like it's a problem but it is kind of weird since the MCU has never been shy to show some blood or stab wound or anything of the sort before.

2021-08-24 03:52:38 +0000 UTCAccording to Hydra Head Pierce, the Winter Soldier shaped the second half of the 20th century through the significant ranifications that energed from the fallout of his political and high profile assassinations. Heck, he was the one that actually killed Kennedy in the MCU to give one example. There would be some big differences one way or another.

2021-08-24 01:04:25 +0000 UTCCaptain Carter was a fun episode and all but it really didn’t seem like much changed in that universe other than her being the super soldier and Bucky not being turned into the Winter Soldier. I don’t see why much else would change in the future either.
2021-08-24 00:58:42 +0000 UTCT’Challa as starlord I feel like that would be different and you could do more with it as a 2 and half hour movie. I feel like you could turn captain carter series into a mcu series on disney plus seing how things went differently and using her as the starting point.

2021-08-24 00:54:09 +0000 UTCCpt. Carter is way more interesting IMO. We'd see a lot more of the dynamic between Howard Stark and Bucky... they stole a jeep.. I wanna see more stuff along those lines. Completely different friendships emerge that could actually spawn a new MCU. Like think if the Avengers were actually formed in 1944. That's what that could become, it's an origin story that combines both Iron Man and Captain America. Also there was actual conflict, and different character development. The T'Challa episode was an insanely good romp through an alternate MCU, but it's not a movie, it's 10 movies. And I'd love to see them all, but it'd be like the 8th movie in that arc. Everything was almost too perfect in this timeline. Really only Thanos had a change of character, though he still thought genocide was cool, and it was more of a comedic change than anything. It's a fun timeline, but it's not interesting and couldn't really lead to more movies.

2021-08-24 00:16:27 +0000 UTCStarLord T’Challa was much more interesting imo. With Captain Carter there were some differences but it was still mostly the same thing as Captain America. With T’Challa though, pretty much the entire universe is different. It’s far more interesting and has far more potential to expand upon than Captain Carter.

2021-08-24 00:00:22 +0000 UTCI would prefer more of Peggy Carter without supwrpowers. It was awesome seeing her with supersoldier powers but she doesn't need them to be awesome and having them undercuts the astounding abilities she has as a regular person while still qualifying as a superhero.
Matthew Vandiver
2021-08-23 23:55:19 +0000 UTCI totally agree with Eric that I didn't think it made any sense that he would be called Star Lord. They should've at least briefly made a reference to explain as to how he got the name. And I would love to see a Captain Carter movie because I just want more Hailey Atwell.
Glynn Rockwell
2021-08-23 23:37:20 +0000 UTCCaptain Carter's may have just been "The First Avenger" again, but slightly different. That said, I feel like everything after would change drastically. The Iron Man suit decades before Tony is born; the lack of a Bucky Winter Soldier; Peggy coming out of the Tesseract, instead of Loki. Most of T’Challa's more interesting stuff are things that already happened and is probably destined for destruction.
2021-08-23 23:36:54 +0000 UTCI’d choose T’Challa if Chadwick was still with us, I just can’t see anyone else playing that Role. So I have to go with Captain Carter.
Andrew Courtney
2021-08-23 23:36:01 +0000 UTCA lot of people were a little confused by the fact that it was super easy to turn Thanos from Captain Genocide to a good guy, with what seems like just a conversation from T'challa, but I didn't think it was that bad. Yes, Thanos is one of the best, most intimidating villains in the MCU, but I think it was refreshing to see him do some good shit for once. Oh, and for the poll, I chose Star-Lord T'challa, because, like a lot of people, I thought it was a little rushed. Doesn't change how much I liked it, but I was more entertained by T'challa's story.

2021-08-23 23:18:59 +0000 UTCI found episode 2 to be just riddled with ridiculous stuff that made no sense. Like why is he called Star Lord when Peter got that name from his mom? Or like hell Thanos just gave up on his plans like that, the guy was bound and determined at any cost because he NEEDED to do it, to prove that he was right. It was all fan service and plot convenience at the cost of good writing. I'll take more of the other one, not that it was perfect either, but better at least.

2021-08-23 23:18:55 +0000 UTCI was watching like, "Oh my god these character interactions are so good!. I need to see more of this team! I hope they continue this storyli- oh yea that's right... dammit" RIp Cha-Cha
2021-08-23 23:13:38 +0000 UTCI preferred the T'challa/Starlord episode, however, I would rather see a Captain Carter Film. I enjoyed her TV Series and would like to see more of the character.

2021-08-23 22:53:57 +0000 UTCHonestly, T'Challa's Star-Lord doesn't even feel like Star-Lord from the very beginning. Where Peter Quill went through the trauma of having lost his mother, T'Challa left for pure curiosity, and their influence on the world greatly differs already just from that. Carter and Rogers both go through a very similar story of proving themselves before making the big sacrifice, so its easy to relate Carter back to the sacred timeline since she's gone through most of TFA with a lot less difference than GOTG which doesn't even have a GOTG established.

2021-08-23 22:50:42 +0000 UTCCaptain Carter just because I would like to see how she is with the other avengers. I liked the Star Lord episode more but it was a little too crazy for me to take it seriously.
Matthew Cronin
2021-08-23 22:47:35 +0000 UTCAlthough Captain Carter's story was much more believable as an alternate universe scenario, as opposed to the very fan fic T'Challa story, I'd love to see more of that universe and more Boseman...but alas...this cannot be 😭

2021-08-23 22:38:05 +0000 UTCA Star Lord T’challa movie seems like it could have a bit more drama seeing how the episode ends. He has to fight both Ego and Peter in tandem to save his Wakandan family from the Ego seed that’s has swallowed earth. Captain Carter I have no idea where they’d go next but I’d love to see that too. :)
Cal
2021-08-23 22:37:43 +0000 UTCI'm mean they are both kinda cool but I wanna be one of those Red shirts squished between captain carter's thighs. So I choose option 1.

2021-08-23 22:35:38 +0000 UTCLike, I loved the Star-Lord T'Challa episode, don't get me wrong, but there's a certain level of... not much plot you can have in that universe? Besides maybe T'Challa vs Quill, but I'd much rather see Peggy and Tony having a traditional Cap & Iron Man grudge match, see how Peggy's personality causes ripples in the present day.
2021-08-23 22:35:25 +0000 UTCT’Challa needs to rule the universe
2021-08-23 22:34:48 +0000 UTCStarlord T'Challa easily is better imo, Captain Carter felt like the same plot of captain america the first avenger while starlord t'challa did something completely different
2021-08-23 22:33:55 +0000 UTCStar Lord T'challa is basically an objectively better universe. Besides the whole Ego thing. But the rest of the universe is.... perfectly balanced, as all things should be Peggy Cap is basically the regular MCU with very slight changes as far as we currently know

2021-08-23 22:33:09 +0000 UTCI would love a tachala movie as starlord. But it will be hard to do with chadwick sadly not here. I just think there is more they can do with a starlord movie then captain carter.
