I think that line about needing more time indicates that this is a plan of his and that he'll be faking being under Edge's control.

ScarlettMi

He will be mind controlled and his family will have to help break the control

BigSteve Kasten

I know about the issues with filming crossovers during Covid, but you'd think "hey, rogue Kryptonians have turned your cousin evil" would be Lois' first call.

Well Superman being mind controlled is kind of a Superman thing so I really hope that they go a different direction this time. My hope is that it is part of a plan and he is only going to pretend to give them time to bring John in to defeat them.

I don't know if he was at the end of ep 11 but I feel like if not something else will happen to control him somehow in next ep. Eric: "smallville has 2 Ls" I- I don't know how to tell you this

I don't think he's being brainwashed, I think he's being tortured- Zeta-Rho clearly wants to take revenge on his wife's bastard or whatever. It would be interesting to see Clark be affected by the hostage situation, not magically controlled or anything. I think it'll be cool to see Superman going along with things for the sake of his family's safety but be undermining Edge as he goes along, and have the family be trying to fight on a different front.

I think he's temporarily mind controlled. But the question is for how long, what will he do when he's like this and will this be Jordan's introduction to becoming a "Superboy" if they go that route? I'm overall intrigued where the story direction is going

Anthia Grant

I say he will/is temporarily mind-controlled. However, this show has consistently surprised us with unexpected twists.

As someone that doesn't watch the Arrowverse shows but loves Superman and Lois, I'm happier that it isn't tied into the other shows as much, makes it feel less convuluted and intimidating to me.

Man this show makes me wish the Flash was written this well! Now I feel that he is mind controlled but not fully because he is kryptonian him self so he can get out of it easier/ fight it more.

Hunter R.

I was thinking mind-controlled because them showing the Eradicator going into the wall, but maybe he is trying to buy time for John Henry. About the Kryptonians & x-kryptonite, I just thought that the people of Smallville have been around it so their bodies will not reject a large dose of it when energized w/o dying (like Tag). The machine gives the energized concentration of it, but the Eradicator transfers the Kryptonian consciousness. I'm not sure why the people of Smallville wouldn't still have the Kryptonian powers though. Maybe they do, but they're dormant and they don't know how to unlock them? Also, I assumed Jor-El was trying to break into the technology (sorta hack into it) because they were in the Fortress, not that he was trying to warn Clark back in the memories. Like he was trying to shake him awake.

Thadman

he is mind controlled

spencer

Yes he will be controlled and Jonathan and Jordan will team up to save him please

I think Clark has a plan it felt like he was trying to signal something to Lois

Christian Bolda

I say mind controlled.

sonicburst3

He will be mind controlled BUT he'll break out of it because of his family, the only thing that the other Superman didn't have.

Yil

He's mind control. Love for his family will make resist/break it when he has to give the final blow to Jordan being a hero.

Doby Greg

I'm hoping before Superman arrived at the farm he already contacted Steel and has set a plan in motion. The red beam never seemed to suggest it could control you so my guess is he's just biding his time

Ethan Prendergast

Even if he is let's hope it's not edge's father in him cuase that man is πŸ’―% a creep no wonder lara left him

Dip602

I'm kinda okay for either to happen. It'd be an amazing anarchy if he doesn't get controlled, but it'd be hella badass and very anxious if he turned to fully evil, black Recovery Suit Superman. As for the poll, I think he will be controlled, but like I said, I'm completely fine with either.

MarkIsDaBoss

I think he’ll be controlled to some degree. To the best of my knowledge, we still know the whole story of how Superman turned evil in JHI’s world. No doubt the show’s theme of family in will be the biggest factor in Clark fighting Edge, physically and mentally.

John M

Feel like the red beam that was used on Clark is the will of Morgans father to stamp out all doubts/weaknesses on why not to destroy humanity and rebuild Krypton.

Joel

Superman mentioned, β€œWe need more time.” I think he won’t be mind-controlled but will act like he his. He knows Steel is out there.
