Loki 1x3 - Poll!

Do you think the TemPad Loki has is actually destroyed or is he concealing how damaged it really is?

Comments

There's no way Loki is going to reveal the TemPad to Sylvie until he absolutely needs to use it. Also, it's weird to me he's asking how to enchant people because he already did it before he had the Mind Stone. In the post-credit scene for "Thor", Loki speaks through Erik Selvig to Nick Fury, before he has the scepter. I always thought it was weird that that scene was never explained or expanded on.

Darth Skhorrn

My first thought when he showed it was broken was that it was an illusion, maybe trying to get to know Enchantress more

BigSteve Kasten

Slightly unrelated, but just to clear up the confusion I've seen a lot of reactors have over the sudden use of telekinesis, you can see it as far back as Thor 2 when Loki finds out his mom is dead and throws the furniture in his cell without touching it.

Cultured Degenerate

I think he's concealing it. What better way than to prove he's the best Loki than to outsmart the others at their own game. Plus he told her in the second episode that he was being a double agent and tricking the TVA... what if he's actually tricking her instead and playing the long con?

I think he even wanted get thrown out of the train. The way he said "Well, that's not ideal." is suspicious. He's probably enchanted Sylvie to get every information about the TVA.

Stephanie

It's broken. The only way for them to survive is for Mobius to arrive on a magic space-travelling jet ski and pluck that out of certain doom with a whistful "wow!"

Be interesting if Heimdall shows up to save them.

Crystal Squirrel

I agree with some of the above folks - I think HE BELIEVES it's broken and it is for him, but Sylvie did successfully enchant him in a way that plays directly into his huge fucking ego so she can understand how his magic works and his, as she stated, "tactical advantages," so it would be easy to extract the TemPad outside the enchantment. (It also seems very possible he realized he's in an enchantment given how many times he pestered her for how it works during the episode.) While wandavision and loki really seem to be able to outsmart me constantly, I really can't come up with a viable alternative way for them to get off Lacrimus than it all being an illusion. I think this is going to backfire a bit on her - either he knows and is manipulating back OR she seems to have developed either a bit of fondness for him and/or some sort of micro-loyalty for him using his magic so much to save her even after he believes the TemPad broke. Delighted to figure it out next week.

Clam

I just hope he's concealing it, he was acting pretty goofy through out so he could be trying to get her to reveal information like the TVA being made of variants.

Collecter343

I think he's going to try and alter the timeline enough to get the TVA to show up. He can just grab any kind of communicator and start broadcasting a signal--anything that reaches off-planet will cause a timeline branch, even if the signal would take thousands of years to reach another world.

Liesmith

because its loki and he loves to fuck around

Cody r stewart

Don't see why he would hide it and then go through all that trouble. But they did try really hard to get to the ship. Perhaps he has a plan to keep the pad.

She explained to him after the whole train thing I believe though. So unless he already knew how to do it idk

Tim Ott

Come on.....its Loki

Reddevilman77

Honestly I think its neither. I think Sylvie successfully enchanted Loki, but within the enchantment she played into his ego that he would have a strong enough mind to resist. And all this bonding they're doing is just an imaginary story until Loki trusts Sylvie enough to give her the TemPad, and when that happens he snaps back to reality at the abandoned mining shack.

awesomeusername

It's Loki, he's always up to something

Flashback007

Somebody’s enchanting somebody. There is trickery and mischief going on!

Longway

He is a mischievous scamp. All is well with the tempad.

iamjustin

Going off topic here, there could be a chance that Sylvie is or will be Enchantress. Could be a stretch but i thought it was interesting.

FloresOfficial

I think he was far too drunk. He couldn't even magic-up the fake train tickets. That tempad is gone.

KevinFromNewYork

I honestly think it is broken, but I did have a thought. A lot of people here are saying what if he is enchanted but what if he managed to enchant her while she was asleep. She did explain to him how its done. Just a thought.

Nicholas Staker

I definitely thought it looked a bit similar to Dr Strange using the time stone.

Nicholas Staker

Of course he faked it...I mean this is Loki we're talking about :)

Alexa Chipman

I don't think Loki would risk the whole plan with the train and the ark if he didn't absolutely have to. Seems like an unnecessary risk to take if you've still got the TemPad.

Loki has faked his death multiple times, why would he NOT fake the TemPad being broken?

Cody

He is after all a mischievous little scamp.

Barry

I think that our Loki is currently enchanted. Her talking about coming up with entire fantasy scenarios to control someone is what sealed the deal for me.

Azurai

I think he's making it up to try and learn more about her and her powers, I mean she did open up more about how to enchant people~

Ifrit9

I'm sure it's destroyed. His reaction to the transport being destroyed seemed too real. Plus, I think something else will save them. What would be the point of him pretending it's broken now?

MelanieRS

I think either is possible, but I personally feel like they're going to somehow lure the TVA to Lamentis-1/be tracked by Mobius, or perhaps even the other consultant that was mentioned, to introduce a new antagonistic character. Personally, I wanna know more about whatever that time-reversal trick was that stopped them from being crushed. I don't think we've ever seen Loki do anything like that- it was straight out of the finale of Dr. Strange, when he fought with the Time stone.

Jorge Lopez

This is a Loki/MCU poll so my answer is obviously Mephisto. But I think its destroyed.

Joel

He had telekinesis last episode as well

aSackOfReactions

NEITHER! She managed to control his mind earlier and he now believes he broke it but she actually has it. I also think her lucky beau will turn out to be Mobius or the judge lady in front of the timekeeper faces.

So I'm not 100% sure on HOW his little disappearing trick works (besides "As-The-Plot-Dictates" mechanics obviously) but when he disappears it, he does so from his front. When he conjures the broken one it's from behind his back, I think he's got the real one tucked away safely. If real-world things could affect disappeared objects, he'd constantly be stabbing himself I'd think with his invisi-daggers.

Coeus

I believe Loki is concealing it because Loki has always kept things that can either save his own butt or benefit him in the future. I mean in Thor Ragnarok he took the Tesseract even though he probably didn’t need to at the time.

NightShade21

I assumed it was destroyed, but this poll may have changed my mind. It would be such a Loki thing to do if he was preserving it for himself.

MarkIsDaBoss

I mean this is Loki we’re talking about he’s not the God of Mischief for nothing

Christian Bolda

I’m not even sure the events that took place after she woke up even happened.

LKG

Many questions from this episode. The biggest one When did LOKI have telekinesis powers?

Jason Andorfer

I think it's destroyed and Owen Wilson is gonna have to save them.

Sam K

I didn't think of that but now that you mention it I think his concealing it

Jenny Lee Villanueva

I think he would have used it at the end when all hope seems lost, so I say its destoyed

Ras_ AlHim

Loki is not that sloppy to destroy something that can save I his own ass, he is playing tricks to find a way in and to come out on top, he is the kind of guy to fake his own death for his own plan, no way that he can leave his life up to something like that, he have a plan and he likes to stall for time

GoundG

i reckon it really is destroyed, otherwise he'd probably have been in more of a hurry to get to the arc

KuroOberon

I´m going with the theory that the episode was an illusion from Sylvie from the moment she "tried" to enchant him. When the ark blows up she just walks away.

Was it just me or did it look like Loki reversed time on that building that was going to fall on them?

Paul Gregory

I think it's destroyed but he could've just put it in his prison pocket i suppose

Dip602

its loki everything he does is sus

spencer

Damn.... that's a hard one :o

Charlie James Verey

I think he might have been concealing it so he’d have more time to gain her trust…which is a bit ironic so who knows

Alec Figueroa

I thought it was destroyed but this poll has changed my mind,
