I thought of it as him saying he's "a brother in Krypton", not his literal brother.

If he is the other world Kal, then they would sort of be brothers. He and the other evil Kryptonians from Steel's reality could be recovering from a Crisis related wipe. Of course, if this were the case, he would likely want an original Kal-El body.

Joe Hillman

Why call him Clark's brother as a lie if him having a brother isn't something we all know already, him not being Clark's brother after that wouldn't be much of a twist if we have no reason to think he is or isn't now. If Clark's brother was something we all knew from the comics like how Zod is something everybody knows then a double twist would make more sense.

I'd say not actual brother just kryptonian, but I like the thinking of brothers from another universe

BigSteve Kasten

I'm confident he's not a biological brother. Maybe possibly a close friend to the House of El? Maybe their parents were close?

I think he's not because the logo of his house is different. Maybe he just sayed brother for a kryptonian brother, he seems also a bit older so maybe he's an old adopted brother

I think it speaks volumes that we don’t have a clear direction in how this reveal plays out. The writing for this is on another level consistently getting better. In a single episode, they made us finally empathize with Kyle, hate General Lane for his recent actions, fear (momentarily) for Superman and later on Lois and the boys’ safety, cheer for Gen. Lane’s rescue, get mad with the Kyle-reveal, and shock everyone with this Morgan Edge revelation. And it all felt organic!

I do not think he is the actual brother. We had Mon-El in Supergirl so can't be him unless Crisis shenanigans. Maybe this is Zod for the Arrowverse. I would love Zod in the show, also Zod wanting to replace the humans might help Steel be on Superman's side.

Not the house of El symbol so No

Chris D. Jones

I'm betting he's just another Kryptonian. He could be H'El, a former student of Jor-El's. He could also be Bar-El, yet another Kryptonian who survived Krypton.

Leaning more towards zod.i agree his symbols is similar.

they went off script so it can be anything. morgan isnt a kryptonian in the comics and clark is an only kid so im super confused. yes he has a different crest BUT that could be for a reason. he was adopted or rejected by/abandoned the El clan so he joined a new family or created his own crest. he is obviously evil so no way jor and lara put up with that foolishness. so could be his bio brother or just a turn of phrase.

rickie woodson

I don’t think he is kal-el’s brother bloodwise

spencer

I guess it's very possible that he's related to him, whether as a brother or not. Although I'm not sure why he would need to lie to Kal-El to beat him. Especially since now he's already revealed as a Kryptonian. So unless it's deeper than that, or I'm missing something, I'll say he is his brother, but I'm definitely not 100% sure.

MarkIsDaBoss

I'm expecting Morgan Edge is the Alternate Universe Superman.

Crystal Squirrel

I feel that he could be H’El, a kryptonian clone Jor El created in the comics, and Morgan Edge’s drive is very similar to H’El’s

The only son Superman had before this show was John. So they aren’t afraid to change canon but I’m hoping it isn’t literal because that just seems like a step too far (but I’ve grown to like Jordan so who knows.) (Also this is the first time I noticed they aren’t social distancing now and it feels like I’m watching in full screen instead of wide screen. I’ll adjust, it just feels weird right now.) :)

Cal

i think it’s metaphorically not literally. the best way i could describe it is like how Eivor (from AC valhalla) calls everyone in his clan brothers and sisters. whilst not being blood brothers there from the same clan therefore he considers them brothers.

Deadpool

I am not all that familiar with Superman lore, but I don't feel like it's his actual brother in the literal meaning of the word..

Julia 🍌

Lore wise I don’t think it can be his brother but story wise it can work as a parallel to Jordan and Johnathan and keeps the overall family theme which makes me think he is some how his brother possibly half

Prince of Za Waurdo Over Salmon

I think it's possible he may be the "resurrected" Kal-El from John Henry's Earth.

Thadman

I think he is the Brother of a Kal el but not ours I think he came to Earth Prime after crisis

Christian Bolda

His sigil looks like Zod’s sigil.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

I think he is his biological brother that was probably made in like those pod thinggys

Dip602

Comic books are the original soap operas. What are you talking about.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

Maybe it's wishful thinking because he's a really cool character but I am leaning toward the H'El theory people have been saying. So yes and no.

Reece Hart

he could be a half-brother and therefore a brother but not an EL there is also the idea that he is an EL but he is a bastard as his sigil looks like the el symbol rotated which was a common thing for noble bastards to do with their own sigil

CommanderL

Do we have a clark luthor/ultraman situation going on with edge?

James jackson

I find it unlikely for them to actually be brothers otherwise Jor-El would surely have told him about his brother. Even if he was in the Phantom Zone for whatever reason I imagine he still would have told him about him and even if he has aged surely you'd be able to tell

Charlie Pears

Classic scifi case of people from alien race calling themselves brother/sister when they show up.

Doby Greg

He says brother as fellow krytonian not his actual brother im pretty sure the sigil on his chest is zods as if they were brothers he’d have the S that the house el wears

I personally think he refers to him as his Kryptonian 'brother' instead of real brother. Unless he's Kal-El for a different Universe

Flashback007

I think it would be really cool if they explored some secret brother plot that wasn't too soap opera. Could be a cool way to introduce a new villain

Ethan Prendergast

I can see the showrunners making him his brother, however I'm not sure if he even has a brother in the comics so wonder were his story could go.
