Doing yourselves such a disservice watching Japanese anime in dub. Some anime are passable, but Hunter X Hunter english dub is so shyte. A detriment and step back for such a god tier anime. But if you still like the show, it's not a total loss, just not experiencing it how it's intended *shrug*

yes and i agree. that's not the people I'm talking about. When i say elitist, I am referring to the ones who constantly berate anything dub, feel the need to always let everyone know how bad it is (even if they've said it 50 times on every other video already), insult people who watch dub, etc. I could go on but, hopefully, you get the point

There is a difference between being an elitist and just having an opinion though. Hunter x Hunter is a fantastic anime and it’s affected a lot of us in a big way, and voice acting is an important part of the experience. It’s hard to not feel a little disappointed sometimes when they miss out on some of the voice acting moments that affected us so profoundly.

I don't care. I like the sub more as well but im not constantly beating a dead horse knowing that Blind Wave does not gaf and also pushing people away from wanting to try anime with subs because of elitists constantly spewing their elitist trash on every anime reaction with dubs. So tired of it

Even as someone who has some dubs they will defend to death, HxH’s dub is passable but nowhere near the level of the sub

1. You're making an entire argument based off an assumption that I and everyone else here can't speak Japanese? That idiocy sets the pace for everything else you say lol 2. You're trying to make clearness of speech and proper pronunciation a factor? I think I speak for most people when I say we pay attention to the emotion and tone of voice, not a school teacher's grading conditions for grammar and proper usage of diction. lmao

Unless you speak fluent Japanese I don't know how you could make that determination. The intricacies of the language from pronunciation to word choice to subtle tone choices would be if not entirely, mostly lost on you. Their performance could be all over the place and you'd be none the wiser since Japanese is about as far away from English as you can get. But if you do speak, or at least understand Japanese fluently then well done.

They should. Every reaction channel should. Super pleased with it; was worried because the trailer was good but a little meh, but clearly it was because they needed to hold important stuff back. Kirkman is very involved and already made some changes from his comic that kept the whole thing fresh. I'm enthralled even knowing what's coming, or might be coming depending on how much he changes.
