I think he'll give it back to Bucky and/or Sam at some point near the end of the first season. He genuinely seems to be a good guy that's doing what he thinks is best. That said, he does come across as an entitled asshole right now. I think he's going to be saved by Bucky and Sam at some point and it'll humble him. Maybe not enough to give the shield back right away, but... eventually. I hope. Or Bucky might just take it.

I feel like Bucky and Sam will somehow acquire it from him, or he'll realize that he doesn't deserve it and give it to them. I get where he's coming from with the whole 'be the best Captain America I can be' thing, but no one could ever be better than Steve. He was the best.

I think he will go "too far" and the government takes it away. They may keep him as U.S. Agent but they can't have him out front and center as Capt. America and being so extreme. Capt. America is too high profile, but I do think they'll want him around doing more covert stuff.

Falcon proves to himself he deserves it, everyone else including John Walker agrees and gives it back to its rightful owner. John joins Sam and Buck's team as supporting characters to them for the next movie or season, whichever it is they do.

It will both be taken from him by Sam and Bucky and then eventually given away after Sam tries to return it when the job is done but instead Walker will let him keep it. Hope Walker doesn't go full villain.

I don’t want John to die but I do think that at some point in the series he’s going to lose the shield and be stripped off of his Captain America title. Will take a while before Sam eases into the Capt. America role but with the pace of the series, I’m confident by the end of the series, he’s going to be donning the suit and the shield.

I definitely think John will have the shield taken from him, but im not sure who will take it. When Lemar was talking to him in the locker room. He says to him "you can't just punch your way out of your problems anymore, you know?". Is this just a comment on him being a soldier or does John perhaps have some anger issues? Maybe he does something that soils his reputation as the new Captain America or perhaps he gets his hands on the serum and it corrupts him. Dr Erskine wanted Steve as Cap because he was a good man, not a good soldier. Not saying John is not a good man, but perhaps an anger issue or something pushes him to far.

I think Cap will collide with Bucky & Falcon over turning Karli in. Team Falcon thinks she might help getting to Zemo, who took over her group. Cap later realiuses his mistake, gives the Shield to Sam and sacrifices himself to save the mission.

I think Sam will initially believe John Walker is worthy of the shield but Walker will probably do something like kill a civilian or use the shield for evil to change Sam and Buckys point of view to realise the shield is better in their hand

The closest the Shield had ever come close to being destroyed was when it was broken while battling Thanos and I don't see Walker running into anyone at that power level.

I think the government will get their hands on the new serum, give it to Walker, and it will have a bad effect on his mentality. He’ll get more aggressive and arrogant and eventually he discards the shield thinking he doesn’t need it. That will be a sign to everyone that Walker is losing it and Sam and Bucky will realize they need to stop/save Walker, who will be more of a tragic villain.

He's definitely going to die. He's going to go down a dark path and then redeem himself by sacrificing himself to save Sam and/or Bucky. We've been told he's jumped on four grenades in his military career. That line feels like foreshadowing to me! Watch him lose his helmet in the final fight of the show and have to throw his body on a grenade. BOOM!

I feel as though the greatest problem with a new Captain America is that they are using Steve's shield instead of creating a new one. The title is one thing, the shield is another. I think the shield will be destroyed as a symbol that the Captain is truly gone and with the broken shield Sam, Bucky, and Walker will all feel as though they failed Steve

Walker will give it up but to zemo. Don't want that to happen but zemo will convince walker he is the better choice.

Sam is definitely taking the shield by the end of this series. But I think Walker's gonna be okay with it. Saying something to the effect of that being Cap is more than carrying the shield, it's about heart--and that Sam is all heart. That’s, for sure, the “Endgame” here. *ba dum tss*
