Yup. Kate’s getting recasted and I think the way they are justifying why Kate will look different because her face has been morphed. My theories are a few. It could be Hush because he’s known for morphing faces and changing appearances. It could also have ties with Jack Napier aka the Joker. Or it could have to do with someone else entirely, but after this episode they’re definitely recasting Kate.

I mean, we did see her body at the end of the episode, and I believe that her body is barely alive. There's no way they would just tease us like this halfway into the season just for her to be dead.

I think I remember the creators saying they weren’t going to kill Kate when the change happened. I would be okay if they did so that that plot line can be done and we move on to other stories.
