As long as Jordan can stay in control of himself on the field then I don't see why he can't play football. So far based his enhanced strength and heat vision, it's been triggered during extreme stress like the farm incident, or the bullying at school or the beach party. It would be beneficial for Clark to test Jordan and see if its only under certain circumstances that his abilities come out or if he can learn how to turn it on and off at any time regardless of Jonathan being near him or not

2021-03-16 16:58:48 +0000 UTCI definitely believe that Jordan can control his abilities over time. I also believe that if anything does happen, Clark will be there to help them and make sure they don't get hurt.

2021-03-16 04:53:39 +0000 UTCI want him to play, not only to fit in and have fun, but there are so many superheroes who don't let themselves or children do things because there special. I hope it goes well because a lot of superhero stories would have this end poorly. Plus with Clark there it will be another precaution being taken.

2021-03-12 22:31:14 +0000 UTCWell Eric, as a non American and someone who’s never seen a second of American Football I have no idea if it’s dangerous, but didn’t Clark break someone’s arm or leg playing American Football in smallville so my guess is, no? He shouldn’t play

2021-03-12 08:14:50 +0000 UTCI think he should play, especially if Clark is there to keep an eye on things, and tell him when he needs to dial back. Plus this could possibly put the pressure on Jon that he's never had before, and bring his Cryptonian blood to a boil, and him and his brother will turn out to have strength and speed respectively.

2021-03-12 04:22:03 +0000 UTCI think Jordan should get a chance to prove he can handle it. Just blatantly saying no takes me back to Smallville where Clark had the exact same Issue with his Dad about playing Football - which I got caus Clark had no one to talk to about his Powers, Jordan can. He just has to choose this Option. But I hope he opens up to the Idea of letting people like Jonathan and Clark help him. Especially when it comes to have to pretend. Like that stuff is heavy or that you really can get hit by other players. I also think they want us to think that this is gonna be an Issue. Where in Smallville they dragged a few things out like Clark and Lana, Bad BF Whitney, Playing Football, I think here they're like "You think its a problem or dragged out huh? - Here is a mature written Solution 1 or 2 Episods later!"
2021-03-11 22:37:55 +0000 UTCI do think Jordan should have some sort of outlet, but the ethics of him playing football are dubious at best. He was launching kids like 5+ yards. His powers give him a larger advantage than steroids would. Competition wise it's absolutely not fair for everyone else involved.

2021-03-11 21:48:02 +0000 UTCFootball is a game full of aggression, and Jordan's emotional problems make him a likely candidate to snap someone in half on accident in a fit of rage.

2021-03-11 19:30:13 +0000 UTCI'm giving Clark the benefit of doubt.

2021-03-11 14:37:33 +0000 UTCI agree with you. It really does feel grounded. Even the teen drama stuff that normally I hate in CW shows I can put up with because it feels like issues normal teens put in extraordinary situations would deal with. The show has a lot of elements of why I liked Smallville.

2021-03-11 14:36:16 +0000 UTCIs it weird that I feel that a show based on Superman may be the most grounded and realistic show we’ve gotten in a while. I know that’s because of the family dynamic and how they are portraying those relationships but I really enjoy how much I can relate to a lot of what’s going on in the show.

2021-03-11 13:47:04 +0000 UTCI think it’s too dangerous. Jordan and Clark’s powers aren’t exactly the same, so Clark can’t know everything especially with Jordan’s emotional issues.

2021-03-11 11:30:23 +0000 UTCI trust Clark, but I'm actually more worried that Jordan's and Jonathan's powers are connected and if Jonathan won't be there for some reason, Jordan will get his ass kicked thrice to Sunday..

2021-03-11 08:49:49 +0000 UTCI don’t think it smart to let him play especially a game with so much physical contact. Football causes so much stress and pressure just to perform well. Imagine a losing game and the team is counting on him to make big plays. Also, players from the other team might taunt him and make him lose focus He might get sidetrack or even forget to hold back and injure someone. Plus if I was to see a boy as skinny as him knock down a tall 200 plus players, I would definitely think this boy is juicing.
2021-03-11 08:48:58 +0000 UTCBeing part of the coaching team, Clark is keeping an eye on things and should be able to help Jordan act a bit more believeable in terms of occasionally taking hits. I do feel Jonathan is getting more and more sidelined in all this, hopefully see more of him.

2021-03-11 08:16:29 +0000 UTCI think there's more likely to almost expose Clark's secret then hurt someone. He seems to have the strength level of a larger man then super human level.

2021-03-11 05:32:12 +0000 UTCI think Jordan won't be the issue but Jonathan will. I feel like just like Jordan he will get mad and some powers will come out. Because we really haven't seen Jonathan mad. We have only seen Jordan mad then "getting" powers.

2021-03-11 04:59:16 +0000 UTCI feel bad for Jonathan, but I think sports will be good for Jordan overall with Clark’s literal supervision, what can go wrong?! Probably everything but that’s to be expected.

2021-03-11 04:52:36 +0000 UTCI didn’t think Jordan could play but now knowing that Clark will be the assistant coach he could help him better control his powers on the field
2021-03-11 04:43:35 +0000 UTCJordan needs the friends and the sport. But from a meta perspective it is bound to fail.

2021-03-11 03:57:38 +0000 UTCClark may be the most prepared person in the galaxy to teach a son like him how to play football, especially considering he wasnt able to. But His dads words were his purpose on earth was not just to play football. But Clark is Superman now and his kids earned a right to live their life. and figure out their purpose with time and Clark guiding them. However He should not play because point of the sport is effort. He shows good heart but he doesnt have to give any effort. He will be the best player on the field in just about any position of physicality alone and that can poison his morals. But considering he apologized to a guy who was aggressive and acknowledged his own wrongdoing It might help him learn to be social and grow mentally. I personally wouldnt.

2021-03-11 03:38:46 +0000 UTCI mean I can’t be the only one who wants to see him crush someone during a tackle....

2021-03-11 03:06:32 +0000 UTCHe's 14 and has pre-existing emotional problems! No I don't trust him.

2021-03-11 02:54:41 +0000 UTCI think it's a bad idea this kid is just to emotional and it hits him very quick and on that field things happen fast and Clarke can't just fly out and stop him without someone noticing so yea this could be bad

2021-03-11 02:32:46 +0000 UTCI agree with the brother that he should be allowed to enjoy his powers instead of them just being only a responsability and secret.
Doby Greg
2021-03-11 02:09:43 +0000 UTCI think he should be allowed to play ONLY if clark is supervising. because that way if anything goes wrong he will be right there to cover it up
Deadpool
2021-03-11 02:06:42 +0000 UTCI think with clark there jordan should be allowed

2021-03-11 01:49:16 +0000 UTCI trust Clark knows what he’s doing. And I think if Jordan actually hurt someone he would quit immediately, though I hope it doesn’t come to that. I keep waiting for the sibling jealousy to be a thing but Johnathon keeps surprising me in a good way. Loving this family dynamic they have setup in this show.

2021-03-11 01:28:11 +0000 UTCI think it should just be like Dash in the Incredibles do just good enough to be considered a good player but hold back just enough not to be the best player
Christian Bolda
2021-03-11 01:18:34 +0000 UTCI trust him more with Clark as Assistant Coach. He'll keep him stable and can cover for any super powered mistakes.
2021-03-11 01:03:48 +0000 UTCI think he should play but just keep an eye on his powers.
Joshua Krienke
2021-03-11 00:36:56 +0000 UTCIf Jordan says he can control himself, then I trust him.
Kevin Bartelen
2021-03-11 00:36:22 +0000 UTCI believe Jordan should play, especially if we find out that being with his brother gives him his extra strength. I wonder if there will be a scene where Jonathan can't make it to a football game and we'll see if Jordan has his same football skills. However, there is still a part of me that wanted Jonathan to have his football and not have his brother barge into the one thing that makes Jon happy. I feel Jon has made more sacrifices up to this point being the "non-powered" child and doesn't need to be reminded of his powered brother in all aspects of his life. I believe Jon will have powers eventually, these thoughts are based on what we know up to this point.

2021-03-11 00:35:43 +0000 UTCI think he should be able to play kinda like dash from incredibles

2021-03-11 00:35:13 +0000 UTCImagine being the kid who got benched because Superboy moved to Smallville lol. But I think it's a terrible idea. It's only a matter of time before someone makes him mad, and he puts someone in a hospital. The only time Superman can ever be slow to act is when he's Clark and in public.
Jordan Malloy
2021-03-11 00:34:34 +0000 UTCDont think it's dangerous but he wasnt subtle, like when he tackled Sara's ex I would assume he was either an alien, a robot, or taking heavy steroids.
Joel
2021-03-11 00:32:51 +0000 UTCI think later down the line it would be safer, however, if football makes him feel comfortable then it may aid him in controlling his powers. Compared to locking him up.

2021-03-11 00:32:20 +0000 UTCIt’s probably too dangerous but here’s the thing...... me loves me some drama
