First time experiencing Berserk dubbed, already do not like the VA for Griffith. They obviously couldn't have foreseen what a big deal this series would become when they made these calls.

2021-01-09 04:31:54 +0000 UTCI hope some of you guys pick up the manga after wrapping up the anime, it’s a masterpiece even though it takes months for a chapter to be released. The 1997 anime is decent but I prefer the eclipe from the third golden age movie.

Not to mention it also has decent VA for its time. I hope that in the future they watch Shield Hero since that is getting season 2 and 3 later on. Or maybe a Ninja Scroll Movie reaction or something, either way I am excited!

2021-01-08 20:25:40 +0000 UTCI was one of the surprising many who voted Gurren lagann. I knew they where going to like this anime. But I've never thought they where going to fall in love with it. It actually made me fall in love with gurren lagan again after watching their reactions. What a great great anime. If any of you guys love anime but never seen Gurren Lagann, you are seriously screwing up. The anime is short and only has 27 episodes. Its definitely one of the best short animes anime fans should get into.

I have no doubt the manga is better but that can be said for a lot of titles. I got into anime relatively late in the game (in my 30's) and this was one of the animes that sold me on the genre.

Most of the streaming sites have the recent 2000s adaptation of Berserk which is really bad from what I've heard. I'm pretty sure they are reacting to the 1997 version of Berserk. If you want the gist of the story, I heard the Berserk: Golden Age Arc movies on Netflix are decent and should play out similarly to the 1997 anime adaptation, but I could be wrong since I've never watched any of them.

2021-01-08 16:10:15 +0000 UTCWow, I didn't think Berserk would actually win. I thought it was a sure win for Kill La Kill. I am Berserk manga reader so I understand the hype of this show. Gurren Lagann is my favorite anime of all time but Berserk really is one of the greatest manga's of all time. However, I heard the Berserk anime wasn't as good as the manga so I've never watched it. I guess this will be a good time to give it a try.
