The Mandalorian 2x5 - Poll!

Do you think the plan to have The Child look into the Seeing-stone will Succeed or Fail? Comment with what you think happens!

Raw Rider Patrons can watch the Full Length Reaction to this episode HERE

Comments

Eric keeps mixing up his troopers, shadow troopers were elite stormtroopers with personal cloaking devices while dark troopers were the force sensitive cyborgs. Also I think it will succeed.

SassaKass

Grogu playing 'Force-sensitive' catch with his dad, for the first time, was precious, and especially what Mando says and how he says it after Grogu catches the ball. Did everyone else notice that?

Hoof Hearted

What if BD1 shows up? imagine the cuteness between him and grogu plus Cal from fallen order would make zero sense bc timeline wise he would be in his 40’s and the actor is 27 so that wouldn’t make sense

Deadpool

I think Grogu will fail in feeling any connection or jedi but ultimately succeed for story purposes and some Jedi Knight will feel him and set out looking for him. I know everyone jumps instantly to Luke but I'd love someone we know from the purge whom survived like Quinlan Vos as he is presumed alive and would provide and different personality to Mando for Grogu to struggle to choose or any other survivors life Bariss (I find no material for the current canon saying says dead). There is also a possibility that a dark sider could feel him like the knight of Ren as they should be about by now too.

There is a famous scene in the Lone Wolf manga and movies, where the child is given a choice between a samurai sword or ball. The child chooses the sword and joins his father on the path of the assassin. I think we will see a homage to this, where Grogu is given a choice between becoming a Jedi or a Mandalorian, where his choices are between a lightsaber or the metal sphere from control panel of the Razor Crest. Of course, Grogu will pick the metal sphere and decide to join Din Djarin to become a Mandalorian.

Matthew Fabb

I'm inclined to agree. However, if Ahsoka's not gonna do it, there aren't exactly many Jedi left to show up. There's really only Luke and Ezra AFAIK, and potentially Cal Kestis.

Steffen K

What I would love to see happen is Grogu reaches out and we get glimpses of several known Jedi - Luke, Ezra, Cal - and even some Force Ghosts - Yoda, Obi-wan, even Anakin - but the Jedi that actually comes looking for Grogu is a brand new Jedi or someone from legends, like Kyle Katarn. What will probably happen is they get there and Grogu refuses to reach out because he doesn't want to leave Din. Then Moff Gideon shows up and ruins everything,

Bethany Kettler

Will they find a Jedi? Yes. Will the Jedi take Grogu from Din? No.

Edina Lewis

I voted fail because even if it “works” I think grogu will choose to stay with Mando. Just an idea I had is maybe by the end of the show the “mandalorian” the title is referring to isn’t our bescar clad hero but grogu because he chose Mando as his family. They are a clan of 2 after all.

Leah

i mean they said they got like 5 seasons planned so don't think we'll see more jedi just yet

Maybe...

Well I think it will be successful. Maybe Krakarott will be sensed by either Rahm Kota or K'kruhk. Would be nice if at least one of those two becomes canon. A slight chance is there that Mace Windu could return. Also I am glad, that I am not the only one that had princess Mononoke vibes in this episode. May the force be with you, guys.

Ethaya

I suspect Ezra will be the one to answer, since he'll be much older at this point, and they won't have to work so hard to make him look like his animated version.

Liesmith

I would love to see the Jedi that shows up be Cal and then it could flow directly into Fallen Order 2. I need some Grogu and Mando in Fallen Order 2.

GoodAsGo1d

I could see it going both ways, on one hand, Grogu could just not reach out because he doesn’t want to leave mando.. on the other hand it brings in so many opportunities to see other Jedi like Ezra, Cal, Maybe a young Luke or even Mace Windu.. at this point, I would say anything’s on the table because of all the stuff they’ve brought into the series, and maybe it’s even a little bit of both scenarios since Grogu could at first not want to do it and then later decide it’s actually the right choice. Either way I’m sure we will enjoy whatever decision is made

I imagine that he will succeed in reaching out to a jedi, but it will be one that allows or encourages him to maintain and strengthen his bond with Mando while agreeing to train him

*This isn't a rebels or mandalorian spoiler* but Ahsoka actually gets her white sabers in the canon Ahsoka novel. She kills an Inquisitor and purifies his red kyber crystals turning them white. Just thought you guys would wanna know :)

Seany McBuckets

I think that it will succeed, but I'm not certain that Grogu's master needs to be a living jedi. Having a force ghost for a master would allow him to remain with our mando while also bringing back an unexpected character.

My5head

What if Ashoka told mando to do that because there’s a chance she could locate Ezra that way?

MAXSHOT95

I'm expecting that instead of a Jedi showing up a Sith, or some other form of "Dark Side" user will arrive.

Crystal Squirrel

Its a written rule for any buddy cop adventure that they separate in a falling out. One continues to succeed while the other spins their wins, until they get back together with a vengeance. It happens in absolutely every, single, buddy cop movie.

Erich Bomke

I say succeed and that Grogu will have a conversation with a Jedi via the force. He will tell the Jedi that he is okay and makes the decision to stay with Mando.

Jovon Cooper

I think he'll succeed in getting there eventually, but I don't know that Grogu will actually choose to reach out to another Jedi, because I don't know that he wants to leave his new dad.

ScarlettMi

I have a feeling that they may suceed at going into the soul stone, but at some point The Empire and Moff Gideon will find them, then later on, possibly Luke Skywalker or Ezra will meet up with them

Steffen K

Maybe grogu looking into the seeing stone succeeds, and Ezra bridger will come to seek him out. Maybe even he's been corrupted by the time he spent marooned with Thrawn out there to survive, and now they're up to no good.

Theodore C

I think the Jedi that will seek out grogu will be Ezra bridger. I hope he’s played by his voice actor from the show. It would be cool if it was luke but I don’t think they will spend the money to de age mark Hamill

Considering Filoni himself has mentioned Mace could still be alive. I'm lowkey expecting we get some Samuel Mother Fucking Jackson showing up. I'm hoping for Ezra though!

Ashgar77

So I saw this theory and after the episode I think there’s a possibility what if the Jedi he finds his Mace Windo the theory I read was that mace survived the fight with papletine and has been in hiding ever sense

Steve

If they plan was to get in contact with a Jedi, I think it'll fail. But mabye someone else might follow the call. Who? I don't know.

Then don’t click the email...we all know how this works.

Brandon Hughes

Hopefully you all read this but I just wanted to say that both Eric and Suraj made the same Goku/ Grogu fucking similarity 😂😂😂

Luis Rodriguez

Hey Blind Wave, can you give us a bit more than 12 hours before you put out spoilers? I clicked on the email Patreon sent me and lessened the enjoyment of the show I love.

Chaz Mannington

I would say the child would fail. Grogu still has emotions and trauma from past that stop him from accessing the force, so I doubt he will connect with the force on the mountain. Also, this show is about the Mando, and I think the best entity to teach him is Daddy Mando(they just have too strong of a connection for him not to, and we all know relationships make or break a jedi). Im sure Mando can teach him some fighting techniques. As for force power teachings, I wouldn't be surprised if that mountain (just like the one Rey trained on) also had some ancient books with some "water bending" YouTube tutorials. (if you catch my drift #wink)

Joseph O

Love the show 😁🖖you talked about east/west westerns and wondered if you have seen Yurusarezaru Mono a very watchable movie .Would like to see you try an international movie once a month poll.

Beanbaka

I think it will succeed but Mando and the crew will have to rescue Grogu from Gideon. Once they have him use the seeing stone, Grogu will choose to be with Mando and continue to journey together.

wetnapkinman

Also who else is super excited for whats gonna most likely be a Asoka series that shit would be fucking AMAZING with Thrawn as the villain oh my god I cant wait its totally gonna happen cus you already know the amazing feedback Rosio Dawson got from her performance and by how hyped everyone was and loves Asoka she 100% getting her own show

MustacheKash

Theres not gonna be another Jedi that comes and finds him guys this whole thing is 1000000% going to be interrupted by Gideon especially since the whole tracking Mandos ship thing didnt come into play this last episode it for sure will this next one

MustacheKash

if he did survive, he'd still be like 85 years old at this point.

Erich Bomke

I think it’ll work and Mace Windu will be the one that senses it. I think he survived his fall at Coruscant.

Child will probably about to look into the Seeing-Stone then Gideon comes in to take the child again. Mando assembles crew to get child back then takes child back to stone for season finale.

Collecter343

I think yes, but I don’t believe it will be a jedi who is alive and rather it will be a force ghost that is willing to train him. Then again I have been wrong more times than I can count when it comes to thinking I know where things are going so who knows.

James Moyner

I don't think it'd make sense for him to succeed. This is the Mandalorian

Aidan Geverdt

It's a buddy cop adventure won't be any fun if one leaves

Shubham Bhardwaj

I believe it will work. But I feel like not only the remaining Jedi will sense his presence but other sorcerers too. And who knows, maybe, just maybe, some dark force users survived as well.

Bunny Norris

The bases of the show is the kid and mando I imagine it’ll fail but give grogou more confidence in his using the force and he’ll just self train and be more gray following his dads example

Jake Disarufino

Succeed but be immediately followed by an attack from Moff Gideon so we don't know whether or not it worked

Jeanette C

I have a theory of who I think will answer but I don't want to spoil for people that haven't seen rebels. Dammit Calvin and Rick!!!!!

Josh Bornman

He will succeed in failing intentionally.

Gavin Hardiman

How did you guys not talk about Michael Biehn being in this episode! haha they gave him a Star Wars version of his Terminator Shotgun AND him not being the fastest in a shootout haha (I haven't watched the Full length so maybe you talked about it there haha)

Martin Taylor

In a perfect universe, Grogu WILL succeed and an old-ass, badass mother effin Mace Windu will show up to train him. Or maybe I'm just still in denial that Windu is dead he can't be

The Jarl

It will succeed and Grogu will be trained by Ezra

ChiefChill

So my theory is a longshot, but it's backed by a lot of Legends material. In the beginning the jedi and sith were one order, living on the planet of Tython. These Je'deii sought to live in complete balance in the force, teaching different aspects of balance and self-control in I believe 7 separate temples. Now, wouldn’t it be interesting if the Din and Grogu ended up stranded on Tython after another accident with the Razor Crest? We have seen and been told that its an old ship, and all stories about travel to the inner core have always been treacherous, and not something to be done in an old ship. Now they find the seeing stone, and discover that a Je'Deii monk lives on the planet. He explains that he was a jedi, but that he got lost and stranded here in an unexpected force phenomenon. In his years here he discovered the ancient secrets of the force and true balance. He explains that emotions are just as important to the balance as self control is, and agrees to train Grogu. Just as they settle into their training, Boba Fett arrives to collect his armor, and Din agrees in exchange for a ride back to the outer galaxy. Once back in the galaxy with a new ship, he would travel with Grogu and his new master untangling messes as they stubble into them.

DarkDruid

oh my... i did not think of this possibility. That would be so great!

Kevin

Kyle Katarn would exist at this moment in time. Mando takes place a few years after Dark Forces 1 and 2, and we already have Dark Troopers introduced. Kyle Katarn is also an instructor at a Jedi temple, and member of the New Republic which the show has been leaning into heavily.

Erich Bomke

OMG WHEN I FIRST HEARD GROGU I THOUGHT SHE SAID ROKU LOL as for what jedi if he does succeed my first thought was ezra then maybe force ghost yoda so he can train on the go and stay with mando my hopes is ezra and ezra goes with them due to the bond between him and mando and remembering his team

DeusDeorum

the only one we're aware of that would seek Grogu out is Ezra, so yes it will succeed but somehow push Mando back to the tother mandalorians

Sir

Grogu will definitely reach at least one Jedi, because this is a plot device for them to introduce some of the remaining Jedi. Also, at some point, Grogu will meet Yaddle's daughter, and later on, the two of them will have a son, a Golden Child named Yogurt...

Quwykxz

I think he'll make contact with Yoda who will drop some knowledge, and Yoda's words will lead to Grogu choosing Din over becoming a Jedi.

n p

Depends on your view of success. Groga could get there and decide not to choose the path of the Jedi. Success for a family life with him and Mando. He could also get there and decide to become a Jedi. Success for the Jedi and part of Mando's quest.

I think he'll go there, but choose the Way of the Mandalore instead of sending out the signal to look for Jedi. Then he'll be the next Force-wielding Mandalorian, uniting the planet, and forging a new, better-looking Darksaber (when he's old enough, obviously.

Yizing

He will succeed and see that he is to become both a Mandalorion and Jedi he will be the one to bring peace between both sides

Christian Bolda

Succeed in a choice being made, but I don’t know if a Jedi will find him. I assume one will but who will it be?

LKG

I’m personally in the camp of thinking they will succeed, but I think it’d be really interesting to see a split narrative where Grogu goes off with whoever to train. Maybe he learns some stuff then Din gets in trouble and Grogu senses and has to beg the teacher for help maybe?

Cal

Ahsoka Tano was done justice in this. I was one of the ones who was hesitant when I heard of them doing live action Ahsoka but I loved it.

Cadmus Lochlan

I really want to see ezra or the theory of mace windu. I also think he wont ACTUALLY split from his mando papa.

God Enel

I think he makes contact but ultimately stays with Din

Alhussein Aldujaili

I think he'll make contact with someone, maybe even Luke, but that he'll turn away from that contact stay with Din. Ahsoka did say it would be the Child's choice, and I can't see the show putting all this time and effort into showing the strong bond between the Child and Din and then have them split up.

Chance Berent Yager

I think it'll succeed. I was thinking on what Jedi may appear and my top candidate is actually Mace Windu. Who else could have snuck away with Grogu under Order 66? Its got to be someone with a connection to Grogu and not just hurr durr here's Cal and his nightsister gf (awesome as that would be)

Lesbian Carwasher

Personally, I don't want this plan to succeed, the show has been spending so much time building the relationship between Din and the child (Grogu), that I can't see them ever being separated, and honestly don't WANT them ever to go separate ways ;(

Adam A

Could we possibly see a Force Ghost Yoda meeting with the child?

Alex Eckersley

Of course it will work and the one who will answer the call will be the Bombad Jedi himself, Jar Jar Binks!

He will succeed. Love it tobe force ghost ewan mcgregor but very unlikely 😁

shaun keeton

I love the last fight, Ahsoka's fight is like Eastern samurai while Mando's fight is like Western cowboy, both heavily inspired SW :x

SNP

It will succeed but, will it be a Jedi that answers the call...

E 1615881939

they will succeed but Gideon will show up right after since he is tracking him. He could be trained by Luke, Ezra or Cal. those are the known jedi. Cal being the last from the jedi order since Ahsoka doesn't consider herself as a jedi. R2 D2 was in the concept art so maybe they will have young luke show up played by Sebastain Stan hopefully. A guy can dream

This comment has nothing to do with the poll but I cried seeing her in live action. I wish she went with Mando, but this is the way I guess

The Das

Cal Kestis would be very easy to do in live action since his appearance is that of his voice actor.

Kyle S

Btw, how Ahsoka got her white sabers is explained in the Ahsoka book

Jon Mercano

Succeed and maybe ezra will come and find him. Hope i'm wrong in this but i feel the ending to that episode was a farewell to ahsoka. The lingering shot and the slightly altered binary sunsets theme playing made me feel that way

Adam Jones

My friends and I theorise that Mace Windu is the one that saved him from Coruscant. He would be high ranking enough to know of Grogu's existence and strong enough to save him. This would then lead to a fight between him and Boba Fett. What do you think?

Young Ish Jon

If it fails, I'm gonna go Kylo Ren on my tv.

Fakudan

It will work and grogu will reach out to Luke Skywalker

Michael Hill

There’s not many Jedi out there they could have train him, and Grogu’s and Din’s bond has been setup since the first episode. I don’t think it would make sense narratively to separate them.

Kanan Jarrus

İ think it will succeed and we will see Ezra Bridger sensing Grogu

When Ahsoka mentioned other Jedi I was just thinking how awesome it would be if they bought Cal or Cere into live action.

Pyraph

I think it'll succeed, however I think it will also attract enemies to their location as well. I feel they'll resolve the get the child to his own kind plot, by either Grogu staying with Mando or Ahsoka decides to train him or another Jedi.

Andrew Inman

I feel like it's going to all get interrupted by Gideon and it's gonna go down Mando with the staff vs Gideon with the Dark Saber.

Daviasio .

what if Cal from Jedi fallen order shows up

Deadpool

I’ll bet $100 that they go to the stone. The child does the ritual, they wait a while and leave When they think no one is coming. Then we see a hooded figure approach the stone just barely missing them. You watch!

Jason Jeffory

I believe Grogu will succeed, to a point. I think he'll have a great connection and send out his force energy to reach others, yet will be interrupted or it becomes too overwhelming for him.

Angel Groves

Yes because we have to have some kind of direction after that point.

Cory Hawks

Hey is the full length meant to be set at $15 tier?

Sunny Morgans

Why is the new episode full reaction set for $15 members on the main site?

The child will look into the seeing stone but will not see everything and gets interrupted before getting more information about his future. Or he sees his home world and that's where he will get a light saber to fight alongside Mando.

Chase Gardner

Grogu will succeed and make and lure in Ezra Brigger. Then it will be the renewed Grogu, Ahsoka, Ezra, Din, and Co. Vs Moff Gideon and his Sark Troopers overseen by Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Barry

The child will simply choose not to do it, cause he wants to stay with Mando.

Simontdk1

I think he will succeed HOWEVER, when there waiting for a jedi mando will have his gaurd down and I think Gideon shows up instead. so it succeeds but Gideon interrupts it

Deadpool

I think Grogu will want to stay with Mando and will be able to somehow communicate that to him in a place as strong in the force as Tython.

Luke Will Come!

Joshua Hiett

I don't know who will answer but I am so excited by the Thrawn prospect that I made a noise like Homer Simpson scream when Ahsoka asked about him.

Matthew Vandiver

I think they will fail they will get interpreted by moff gideon

Dip602

I feel like it will eventually succeed, but I do think they will get interupted first. Especially since Gideon is tracking them. Or maybe even Boba finds them and he's like "forget about the child, bitch gimme my armour" 🤣

LouiseJulie

Ever seen the meme about how Sebastian Stan looks just like young Mark Hamill? I'm just saying.

Kyle S

I think Gus and his dark troopers will stop them and destroy the temple

DC Fanboy

I hope he does. BUT WHO THE FUCK CARES AHSOKA ON THRAWNS TAIL BABY!

lewis is your patron

Theory Ezra was captured and is being experimented on like what they want to do with baby yoda or they brainwashed him and turned him in to an Inquisitor also it would be cool if mace was the one who got baby yoda out of coruscant

Will probably succeed, however we still got Moff Gideon whose planning to mess s*it up

Joel

EZRA or CAL !
