Quite honestly I hope their editors clear them up on a lot of the anime release timeline confusion. And for God's sake just google "Child of Light" or "Gae Bolg" already. I enjoy their reactions and discussions a lot but a lot of discussion time is really wasted on stuff that could be easily cleared up by doing stuff they had no problem doing in their Zero videos (they googled Diarmuid and Gilles de Rais for example).

@TheHumourTumour Hmmm... you mean like when Peter Jackson adapted The Hobbit after LotR. Despite The Hobbit being set before and coming out before LotR? And guess what? He adapted the Hobbit to have way more LotR references than the original book had. Because it's an adaptation. Same with Ufotable adding way more Zero references to their UBW adaptation.

its really not worth it at this point..the visual novel readers can't grasp the idea that an anime studio hires a director to decide how the source material is adapted in this animated medium. same way movies based on books aren't exactly the same because a director is hired to decide how the source material is adapted in this new medium

Doesn't Unlimited Blade Works chronologically take place after Zero? Shirou Emiya is the small child from the end of Zero that that Kiritsugu Emiya saves. Shirou is clearly older in UBW and Kiritsugu is clearly dead. Rin also appears in both series and is clearly older in UBW. With that in mind, the order to watch these in seems pretty clear. The plot makes absolutely no sense at all the other way around.

Not at all..you guys are literally saying that even though fellowship of the ring came out in theaters 1st..a new lord of the rings fan should watch return of the king before they watch fellowship of the ring all I’m saying is no watch fellowship of the ring first because is was released in theaters first..you guys are saying that even though Ufotable made and released Zero first they meant for you to watch the series that they released 3 years later before Zero and because of that the blind wave crew thinks that Ufotable released UBW before they released Zero and all their discussions are revolving around the idea that Zero came out after UBW so someone who is watching UBW wouldn’t understand the backstory or the references to Zero..which literally is not the case

UBW references Zero, but it was make explicitly under the assumption that viewers had already seen Fate/Zero AND read the original VN. There's no 'correct' way to watch the series while staying anime-only, so it's worth keeping both entry points in mind as you watch.

one of the reason how to start on fate anime is very confusing. UBW should be watched first but the anime adaptation heavily refrences fate zero which would make the UBW anime confusing if started first.

zero(2011) UBW(2014) I'm only referring to the anime that their watching not the novels ..Ufotable literally made this anime as a sequel to the anime they made in 2011..the blind wave crew is under the belief that the UBW anime came out before the Zero anime

Didn't hear you bring it up but if you didn't notice that broken "husk" that was in Tohsaka's will was the first shed snake skin that Tokiomi used as the relic to summon Gilgamesh. Pretty sure it won't be brought up again

Are you talking about Fate UBW reactions? If so, they are watching the bluray version, I believe. Netflix has the broadcast edition which doesn't include any extended or extra scenes. So you'll become unsync'd in a few episodes throughout the series (not many).

I'm guessing the website is experiencing some issues (probably too much traffic from us crazy Fate fans, haha), but I have to say I'm so happy you guys already put up the first 5 episodes of UBW at the same time as the final episode of Fate/Zero.
