I was watching Gurren Lagann as it was playing in Japan. I have to admit I stopped watching the show at episode 8. It wasn't until a year later I went back and rewatched it all and I regret that I took so long.

2020-09-26 23:41:45 +0000 UTCYour supposed to hate that he dies, the show does it’s best to make you love him so that you go through the same pain as Simon, it teaches the viewer about loss and instead of using the people u look up to as a crutch to grow as your own individual. I love this show because of how brave it is. The show has a much deeper meaning to it than just mechs fighting, and as bizarre the story may get at time you can always find yourself relating to it in some way.
