I think they definitely are referring to a child in the scenes where they’re discussing bloodwork, but my guess is that it will be a different kid than the mom deke grew up with. It feels a little too unsettling to me to have deke meet his mom as a baby

That was my first thought! I think so and her name will be Diana. It’s not like they have pregnancy tests just lying around wherever they were so the bloodwork makes sense and it would tie in to earlier in the season when Deke was talking about getting back to Fitz so him and Simmons could do the deed.

I believe that if there is a baby then neither Simmons nor Fitz will be alive to take care it, but instead another Shield couple will be the foster parents. Either Mack and Yo-Yo, Daisy and Sousa, or May and ChroniCoulson. Bonus point for Deke raising his own mother.

I never thought about a baby while watching but it does makes sense. P.S the scene with Deke sneaking around on the ship was longer but had to be cut for time.

I think there is a problem with Fitz bloodwork based on the phrasing, and AoS doesn’t do happy ending they face consequences head on and rip our hearts out so I’m preparing myself.

I'd assume it's a child and I'd prefer it's not actually be Deke's mom since it would be impossible to replicate the circumstances of her original conception. But it is a tv show so it probably would be.

I dont think there is a baby, I do think since they are in a new timeline that Fitz is dead, they will get back to their timeline and be able to fix Fitz before he dies

I do think the is a good chance of them having a baby, but I don't think either of them are dead/dying feel the show runners would want to avoid the backlash from the dedicated fitzsimmons fanbase. Now we march towards the end. End of the Marvel TV era. Fingers crossed some of the characters transfer over to the next phase of MCU TV or the films

I feel like they intentionally said blood work to make us think disease since they hinted at thinking Fitz was dead. Baby makes a lot of sense with how much time they had together.

I wouldn't be against the idea of illness if it wasn't the end of the series, no way they go the whole final season without Fitz then kill him at the end, I just don't see it. But hey, its Shield.

The first thing I thought of was that Fitz has a terminal illness and was about to die, but at this point Fitz and Simmons have been separated by space and time and even death itself and they still managed to get together before and they'll do it again. Whether its an illness, a baby, death, wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, or even Thanos himself, nothing will get between Fitz and Simmons! FitzSimmons deserves their happy ending!

I called it before, and I'm calling it again. FitzSimmons had a baby! Fitz can't be dying. Deke knew them when he was little. Deke: " I just knew you as Nana & Bobo". Fitz had to have lived long enough for their daughter to have grown up and had Deke. P.S. It was Peggy's brother who was supposed to have shot Thompson in the Agent Carter finale. After having faked his death and been up to nefarious things over the years. And he was to be Peggy's neice's grandfather.

I think there's definitely a baby and maybe she's born already and with Fitz? But I know Fitz also had a brain injury early on so I hope it's not that coming back. I just want Fitzsimmons to find some happiness! Please make it so or I will riot!

Her reaction a couple episodes ago was of terror, I just don't see her reacting that way if all it is , is missing a baby. My guess, is that he has a disease, but will pass while she's gone. And for Simmons to commit and leave, she couldn't be able to remember.

Fitz-Simmons baby is what I voted for. Blood test felt like a red herring to me and Simmons leaving her child and losing her memory of it is the only other thing I can think of that would make her freak out like that.

I say it is a baby. The blood work was a red herring to make you think disease when in fact it is baby , but that could also be a misslead because they keep saying be unpredictable, but maybe the baby could be the real red herring...ill stop before i hurt myself.

I think there definitely is a child. I’m trying to think about what else Simmons would be so distraught about leaving and why else would Fitz stay? Can’t believe we’re at beginning of the end. Man can you believe we came from Skye sitting in her van trying to track Shield to Daisy being Quake. Simmons and Fitz never leaving the lab to saving the world. May not caring at all to May having a power that is based on emotions. Coulson literally metamorphosing every season into something else lol. I started blindwave with Eric and his white headphones watching Shield and then seeing Aaron join in. It’s been a wild ride boys.
