Is it just me or is their full length reaction out of sync? it keeps getting ahead of my movie that I play. I have tried 2 different versions of my movie, both are falling behind their reaction. Could their reaction be speed up slightly?

After seeing their reactions to this I feel like they would love the humor even more in Weathering With You, and the romance is also quite good there too. The english dub was also excellently done.

One thing I've learned that gets missed by not knowing Japanese language is that there's a feminine and masculine form of how to refer to yourself or others. So when Mitsuha is with Taki's friend and they're freaking out about him/her saying something about a girl or gal, or guy (whatever it was) it's because in the original version she's using the feminine word for what she's saying which wouldn't be how Taki would talk. We don't really have that in our language so it's hard to translate that moment.

Man, it's been a few years since I first watched Your Name, and I completely forgot just how damn funny that running gag of him touching her chest was. It's probably because I first watched it on a plane ride and was a little self conscious of the people around me seeing that on my screen.

Based on their reactions to this moment, and to some stuff in the journal, it was translated, just not displayed in the version they were showing the youtube viewers. Probably because those were added as subtitles.

I got so excited seeing this was your movie reaction! One of the big things lost in translation that you guys wouldn’t have seen is Taki didn’t write his name on Mitsuha’s hand, he wrote “I love you” which is why she didn’t know his name.

If you want a recommendation Makoto Shinkai's work after "Your Name" is "Weathering with You". It's a rare treat to go into a movie with so little expectations or foreknowledge, rarer still to have that and an exceptional experience with a film.

I'm assuming you're trying to sync with the Netflix version. I notice consistently that even when I have it perfectly synced at the start it falls out of sync as time goes on (I notice after 10-15 mins). This happens even if you download for offline play.

am I the only one who found it impossible to sync up with Full Length? Seriously, unless you have the exact same track as they do, the timer is at best super unreliable and you can't even use song or dialogue to orientate because they talk super loudly, which is, yes, the point, but surely something can be done? They should leave the bottom of the footage screen so that people could have an idea where it's at.
