Steins;Gate #24 Reaction - Early Access!

"Achievement Point"

Okabe has one final chance to travel back in time, set everything right, and save the girl he never even got to love. His mission is vital, but it may mean the end for the mad scientist.

Steins;Gate #24 Reaction - Early Access!

Comments

saying first season is kinda misleading/wrong. But yeah, the anime adaptaion of Steins gate 0 was worse when compared to the anime adaptation of steins;gate. Theres simply too much content in Steins;gate 0 so they did that mishap, it started off great ngl. The visual novel is still good even if the anime adaptation wasnt as good.

Shad Ow

That’s cuz majority don’t care Steins;Gate 0 hence U see those comments. 0 kinda ruined such a great and highly praised first season for a lot of fans.

DAki

Nice

Luky

You guys really need to watch the OVA and then Episode 23 Beta if you plan on watching Steins;Gate 0.

Lucas Croce

I can totally see why people hate the steins;gate 0 anime. Because unlike the steins;gate anime, it didnt follow the true ending as much as the steins;gate anime did. I still enjoyed watching it even though, I mean ep 1 ends on a banger, I was hooked right away and it was fun watching the interactions between characters.

Shad Ow

Yes they are watching the OVA and then on to whatever's next

IrishNexus

No poll yet? That's a little odd. Does that mean they will watch the ova or is the poll just a little late?

Sofie Lingsell

I hope you guys pick up the movie and Steins;Gate 0. I personally love them both and feel they are a must.

Kyouma

Probably not. It's also widely considered not canon purely because of the broken time travel rules they have in it, messing with this show's preset bible.

Jack Mapstone

You didn't, there's either more Steins;Gate next week or they have chosen the next show themselves.

coffeemilk

Do they know the movie takes place on this timeline?

Matthew’s First Name

so the reason that okabe didn't run into himself after the first attempt it's because everytime they time travel with a time machine the wordline shifts by the most tiny of margins so it's a different world line. So the instant they went back in time it changed the world line.

Clockwerk9000

Did I miss the poll for next show ?

Michael Perez

Agreed, though sometimes what happens is you tend to forget little details of the original material that you enjoyed, and you start to think "why did I ever like this?", and you have to rewatch the original material to realize that it's overall just better.

Trxps

Thats the way of the samurai

Garrett Gee

Yeah, I really wish it lived up to the original. Honestly I thought the movie was a lot better than 0

Trxps

Even if they didn't like it that doesn't take away from the quality of this one, and they'll never know if they'll like it unless they see it. I've always disagreed with the idea that extended material that doesn't match or exceed the original material is worthless or somehow makes the original worse. I don't think anything that came after the original Steins;Gate reaches the same level of consistent quality, but there's still plenty to like about them that only increased my appreciation of the series as a whole. Even the parts I don't like don't lessen my opinion of the original in any way.

Zach

Great Great Great Show ! any series has a hard time :) replacing it. I would enjoy going throw S;G 0 with u guys but if it doesnt win i guess i just watch for my own. Okabe rly catapulted as one of my all Time Favorite Characters and the Time Travelstory was told almost at a perfekt Level.

Eduardo Campelo

Well there are just a handful Anime of the same "caliber" imo so any Show following up this one has it hard bc the guys already Reacted to many many Great Shows Like Cowboy Bebop, FMAB, Code Geasse and so on

Eduardo Campelo

Somewhat agree, even if 0 is drag to watch and predictable at times the one thing I did enjoy about Stein;Gate 0 was the ‘what if’ moments and character. If he did things differently and we get to see how that would have played out for an episode or two. And even though we know how they get to the Stein;Gate worldline the pay off is still there with 0. Plus we see more of the future stuff hinted in s1.

DAki

It's pretty interesting to listen to him in a commentary on the Blu-Ray of this series- he said that the Okabe character affected him so much he pretty much had a complete breakdown at one point during voice recording. He pretty much threw everything into the performance and you can really notice it

TheGoonerKid

We wouldn’t have gotten this great script if it wasn’t for the original Japanese version. J. Micheal Tatum did however do a great job at adapting it for western audiences.

DAki

I tend to think that it is really important to watch Steins;Gate 0- I think it gives way more impact and meaning to what happens at the end of the original series. Just because you know how it ends doesn't make it not worth watching, and the way in which the characters progress is fascinating

TheGoonerKid

It's been a great ride but I'd suggest ending it here in terms of the anime adaptation and just read the VN for Steins Gate Zero in their own time if they WANTED to. Because it's true, the main story is over with a satisfying conclusion. Everything else is extra "optional" material. Zero's story didn't need to be told, but it's there if you're interested. Same can be said for the OVA. The movie is a mix bag.

Reuben Filimaua

They're not doing the film, which I think is for the better due to both its non-canon nature and its messing with the series' established rules of time travel, which the guys are big on

IrishNexus

The VN explained that every form of time travel causes a split in the worldline, thus preventing any paradoxes so two versions of time travellers cannot exist in one worldline. Really wished the anime added this information, because it shows everything onscreen exists for a reason. Steins Gate has been top notch in detail so far, so it seems odd they'd be so careless to leave a possible "plot hole" hanging when there already was an explanation in the original source.

Reuben Filimaua

Glad to see people over here like it. It seems like the people who comment on youtube hate it.

Paul Murray

what about Steins;Gate Fuka Ryouiki no Deja-vu

D HK

At the end: "and we start a series just as a surprise sometimes"... I hope that's a hint that they're picking up SG0 as separate surprise in addition to the new poll... Would be a well earned troll at all of us (including myself) expressing frustration every week since they announced SG0 would be a poll show and not an auto-pickup.

n p

its not necessary for the story but for me it was necessary for the characters, knowing everything Okebe went through now i feel like I've seen his full arc, feels weird knowing that there are fans of steins gate out there who don't know the shit okebe really went through.

Mango

yeh i understand why some people dont, but i really enjoy how its ends making you realise the true sacrifice it took to get to steins gate

Mango

The time travel in this show sets up it's rules and then doesn't break them. There is no fast and loose.

Herberderber

S;G0 is great tho?

Cyridius

If I'm being perfectly honest, I'd rather they watch another anime of the same caliber than continue with Steins;Gate 0. I don't think it's a necessary story continuation and it definitely isn't as good as the first series. It would be terrible if they end up being disappointed by it considering they like this one so much.

Dimas Anindito

hope tower of god replaces this show, so good

yooin

I do too it would be good for reactions but you shouldn't be surprised if they don't really enjoy it.

Herberderber

Great series! Hoping Samurai Champloo is up next! Some live, some die...

Able

man if steins;gate 0 doesnt win the next poll Ima riot as well

Shad Ow

There wouldn't be a third Okabe or Suzuha when they returned for the third time, because they travelled back to a point just before his actions in episode 23 caused divergence. In other words, they climbed back down to the trunk of the tree before it branched off. And since they were there physically in episode 23, their presence during that time period wasn't a fixed point, but merely an external influence.

old m80

really hope Steins;Gate 0 gets picked, would be fun to see their discussions

Mango

If Steins; Gate 0 gets picked, please watch 23B OVA before that. It will help you understand where the story takes place. They are very closely related.
