Given that Jon thought he was the last of his specie, it actually makes sense he falls for the next martian he meets. People tend to not like it because of other series but I think that should not be a factor, it's an adaptation and one that makes sense.

It's fine. From their first episode Meghan was so different from the classic one with her the war criminal and him the war survivor that I saw them as relatives in this show. Just 2 people from the same planet trying to survive their respective trauma/demons and found each other. And They both always like adults and their relation. And I always felt John treat her like an equal instead of a protogé like Alex or Kara. . So it doesn't creep me in a teacher student way either.

I've watched Young Justice too much. I know this is a different version and they're not related, but it still feels weird. Also Aaron, Melissa was pretty early on in her pregnancy by this point.
