2020-05-05 17:43:55 +0000 UTCThat illusion floor scene is actually different in the sub which is more in line with the manga. I have no idea what the dub changes the lines here. Sakura was actually surprised and then thanks Sasuke in the sub. In dub, we don’t get that and it’s made to sound like she was playing along. Basically Sasuke was cheering Sakura up. Remember he noticed that she seemed different. So he reassured her that she must have noticed the genjustu first and then praised her analytical skills . Tbh Sakura probably did notice the genjustu but was already feeling down about these Chunin exams so distracted.

They do a bunch of D ranks and then their first C rank is an A rank against a missing nin, a kekkei genkai user and a crime lord and then next thing that happens is the chuunin exams. I’m not gonna say what happens next.
