You might be on episode 20, but you have 200 more to go. Then another 500 in Shippuden. I thought I might as well rewatch some of my favourite episodes from Shippuden. But I only watch them in Japanese, I can't stand the English voices.

I’m confused why ppl are complaining about a shounen trope. Either way, Chuinin exams is better than Hunter Exams overall.

The Hunter Exam and the Chuunin Exam isn't really your classic tournament though. Bracket style fight tournament is only the last part of the exam.

Aren't tournaments a staple of shounen anime since DB? Not sure why people are salty in the comment section. It's literally a trope in the genre.

You can clearly see the difference in quality between 18 and 20. I see it as the first arc being kind of the "pilot" for the show ( which sucks because it gave it horrible pacing). Except for that stand off nothing drags on from this point until shippuden and the first 2 arcs

We really appreciate you guys doing this series, I know that it has an abundance of flashbacks and waiting around etc., but when you get to those epic moments it truly makes it worth it. Also as a plus, you get to see how Naruto and Sasuke grow and mature because of their rivalry.
