Hunter x Hunter #59 Reaction - Early Access!

Comments

Get ready for a lot of note taking this arc.

Anorak Zoldyck

Woodsie, you really need to stop arguing. He's answered your question and if you don't like it then stop paying. Simple.

Famalam

Thanks for adding the manga explaination, Rhop.

Famalam

its gonna be really frustrating in a certain point of the show

mohammed ahmed

Just remembered hunterx hunter has like 145 episodes that's 10 more than naruto without fillers and people always complain about wanting double or triple drops for naruto but are fine with 1 a week for this.

Davon Thomas

He doesnt do it whenever he wants as he stated he does it on a as needed basis depending on how spoilerly the animation studio decided to be. There is no reason for the op to include what it does other than to spoil. If blindwave doesnt think hes doing a good job theyd get rid of him. They clearly enjoy the way he edits their videos, and several times where he expresses at the end i changed this because of this and they are always grateful. Quit trying to put your spoiler agenda on everyone.

Garrett Gee

And for the unedited reactions you provide your own footage that has those spoilers so you still get spoiled and blindwave doesnt win win

Garrett Gee

all of their reactions are based on polls so asking will do nothing.

One of my fave arcs !!!!!!!!!! GREED ISLAND ARC!!

cassherms

But there are though. Which honestly is the most confusing thing about greed island.

Gavin Mcfadden

"I've edited/censored dozens of episodes without the Crew's knowledge" "So no, I won't be changing things "whenever I want"." Those sentences contradict themselves. XP

Woodsie89

@Woodsie I've edited/censored dozens of episodes without the Crew's knowledge, and upon being told after the fact, they've never been anything but grateful. I know my boundaries. So no, I won't be changing things "whenever I want".

Ryan Hopkins

Please react to Parasite

Eliezer De la Cruz

@Woodsei: I don’t think Rhop would do this if the crew would have a problem with it. With My Hero Academia reactions Rhop changed the title of an episode that was a bit of spoiler before hand and they clearly knew nothing about it. At the end of the episode Rhop told them what he changed and they expressed gratitude that he did that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they asked him to do more things like that for them at his own discretion because they are very spoiler cautious. Off the top of my head I can see him not telling them ahead of time is so they don’t try to figure out what he changed and have it impact their discussions. I love the crew but sometimes they can get off track on other things.

Jjop017

One thing this dub did wrong this episode was when talking about "bringing back items" They should were actually talking about getting the item necessary to leave the game. The implication is that the people who have given up weren't good enough to get said item. They'll go into more detail later, but the way this episode presents it is confusing because you can't bring items out of the game under normal circumstances so talking about bringing out items being easy is just plain wrong. Calvin and Aaron were actually both correct. Calvin got it right, but Aaron correctly remembered what the dub said.

ctom42

You should watch the 1999 version of HxH on your own time or make it another reaction series if you want, but even though the story remains the same, the music and atmosphere are quite different. It could be interesting

Emeric Plus

I understand Jiop, the big problem is that a change is being made without their knowledge, or consent. An op has never been edited in any of their previous reactions, and its clear they didn't know this one was getting edited. It's not fair to them, to give them an censored version of the show, without telling them that its been censored. So they can at least give the ok for it.

Woodsie89

Because Sojtus, it sets a precedent that he can just edit and change things whenever he wants, without them ever knowing. That's never a good thing. When a simple, "Hey, I edited the intro to avoid spoilers" would mitigate that. There is no reason to make them believe that what they are watching is the original intro. It's not fair to deceive them, and its not fair to the viewers to cut out part of an episode to a series that they paid to vote for a reaction too. I don't think there is anything wrong with someone who has been supporting them from the beginning voicing their concerns about practices that they feel will compromise the integrity of the reactions.

Woodsie89

The Blindwave crew are really spoiler sensitive though. Watching past reactions I always get the sense if they don’t go in completely blind or close to it as they can some of their enjoyment is gone. It is why they don’t do previews for anime they watch. This OP change makes more sense for them then it might other people who are fine getting a little preview of what to expect in the arc and get more excited at how it will happen then being bummed that got spoiled for them.

Jjop017

"What if there are no NPCs" unusual to get such an accurate prediction from Aaron of all people lol.

Bad Egg

Come on there is no need to be making such a big deal out of ops. And HxH ops aren´t even all that good. Plus this one really is one big spoiler clip.

Sojtus

Correct, unedited reactions. Their reaction has no cuts in it. You're getting what you paid for.

Ryan Hopkins

so skip the ed? Also, thank you for giving me an actual answer, was getting tired of the "there's no dub" excuse, lol.

Woodsie89

I mean, I'm paying to watch the full UNEDITED reactions, so this is a legitimate complaint.

Woodsie89

What benefit is there in not telling them they are watching an altered version of the show?

Woodsie89

Because they didn't want to watch all the way through the ED every time just for a few seconds of mostly information they'd already been told.

Ryan Hopkins

I'm not required to tell them. They trust my judgement in that regard. Please don't assume you understand my relationship with the Crew.

Ryan Hopkins

Oh Eric, if you think a Nen powered car would change the world then I can't wait till you see bicycle granny...

Montie

He should have told them. I get editing it for spoilers, but a reactor should always be made aware something is being removed or censored over.

Woodsie89

The Chrolo chart was nice at the end, but if they care so much about how nen techniques work, why did they skip all the hunterpedias? We know they have a dub, so please don't say it's because they wren't dubbed. They're not spoilers, just like teh Chrolo chart, they are just additional bits of info to help you understand the world.

Woodsie89

Rhop edited it because he knows they wouldn't want to get spoiled by the OP.

TbcAlex

and based on their reaction, you didn't even tell them that you edited the op, which means this wasn't even their call. You should have at least told them before hand. It's not right for them to not be told they're not even reacting to the original version, that just seems deceitful.

Woodsie89

so are they never going to watch previews for movies or tv seires again? makes sure to edit out all the spoilers for those in the future too. Nothing in this op is a "major event/reveal""

Woodsie89

I heard the new one piece op even spoiled manga reader lol is that true?

FinChat

Glad to see they're hyped for the new arc. But I feel like they're going to be very sad for the next like year or so. Cause we aren't gonna see Kurapika or Leorio again for a VERY long time.

Conner Simpkins

That's what they said, Pendragon

Thilde

I think it was a good idea honestly, now they'll be more appreciative when they see the full one.

Conner Simpkins

It will be changed back once it's appropriate. You have to understand that the Japanese have a much different standard for what constitutes "spoilers". Being "anime-only" pretty much doesn't happen in Japan, so the anime is created mainly as a way to promote the manga.

Ryan Hopkins

Lol they actually modified the op to avoid showing "spoilers." That's honestly... a bit crappy. When people do that, or go the whole "just skip the op until X", it's such an odd way to ignore the people who worked on it and the intended viewing experience for the show. This is a calculated preview by the team who made the anime and it makes no sense to modify or avoid it...

Gistradagis

You mean Thank Rhop.

Pendragon

Thank god Skill Hunter was explained to them

GlamdringandOrcrist

New opening and ending hype!!!
