Do you think this season is hinting at a companion's departure?

I hope Ryan and Yaz leave, because a Doctor & Graham TARDIS team would be perfect

2020-02-16 19:31:45 +0000 UTCLooking at the history of Companions, they normally only stay for 1-2 seasons the most we get is 2 and a half. So it would make sense for one or more to leave this season.

2020-02-15 23:23:42 +0000 UTCI think that Ryan will leave, because there's been enough hints through the series of that happening. Both Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill have confirmed they'll have other works this year, so the future with them is uncertain, but Yaz still believe in The Doctor, so I think she'll stay on the TARDIS. There's nothing new on Bradley Welsh's future, so he'll probably stay another season too.

2020-02-15 15:11:55 +0000 UTCI think Ryan will be leaving for sure, and the others might leave as well. I think they just need less companions in general. One or two companions is enough, that way they can full develop them and there aren't "to many cooks in the kitchen", as there are right now.
2020-02-14 04:57:20 +0000 UTCI like all 3 companions.... but maybe we move on from one (or all) making room for Capt Jack to travel with the Doc? Cuz that would be awesome!

2020-02-13 22:34:49 +0000 UTCMy guess is all 3 will die tragically in a crazy 2 part cybermen story at the end of the season
2020-02-13 20:07:47 +0000 UTCI'm beginning to believe that Graham is going to sacrifice himself nobly, and Ryan will leave thinking the cost was too high.

2020-02-13 20:00:20 +0000 UTCI think Ryan will be burned out after the effects of the finale. Graham may follow (I hope not), but Yaz will likely stay as some connective tissue between the seasons allowing for her to bring new companions up to speed so we aren't rehashing the same beats where the Doctor has to teach the companions about her and her adventures/enemies.

2020-02-13 19:03:51 +0000 UTCIf Ryan leaves, Grahan leaves too. They repaired their relantionship last season. I

2020-02-13 18:36:12 +0000 UTCI can see Ryan leaving soon for sure, or dying

2020-02-13 18:22:46 +0000 UTCI think all three are likely to leave together. Ryan is the most likely to give it up I think, and I feel that we're building to Yaz's exit too. I can see them keeping Graham on for another series as Bradley Walsh is pretty well known in the UK and he quickly became a fan favourite in Series 11; this might also explain why they haven't done anything with his character this series and just reduced him to a comic relief role. I think it'd be interesting to see this team dissolve with all three leaving and seeing how that affects the Doctor going forward.

2020-02-13 18:03:52 +0000 UTCI don’t know, did Graham’s line about traveling keeping him from being trapped in the past sound like ominous foreshadowing to anyone else or was that just me?

2020-02-13 17:15:34 +0000 UTCRyan or Yaz can go for me, but I would prefer if Ryan went. Obviously those who cast Tosin Cole saw something in his acting which doesn't seem to have been put on screen in any episode yet. This could also be the fault of the writing and/or directing. I'm sure he's a really nice guy, but Ryan seems to be an emotional vaccum and surplus to requirement. My only other hope is that Graham stays because I'm loving Bradley Walsh in Who.

2020-02-13 17:02:22 +0000 UTCI think Ryan will stop traveling with her, not just because of the hints in this episode but also due to the news of the actor’s rumored new gig. I wouldn’t be surprised if Graham and Yaz stay with the Doctor. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they take the Fifth Doctor route and, rather than dropping down to 2 companions, add a new third companion. Maybe Jake from the previous episode?

2020-02-13 16:41:29 +0000 UTCI've voted Yes, more out of hope than anything else. Yaz or Ryan needs to go, but tbh I think they'll do all 3 at the same time.
The Doctor
2020-02-13 16:20:20 +0000 UTCsame!! his character and no offence to the actor but he cant act at all

2020-02-13 15:50:53 +0000 UTChopefully its Ryan because I like Graham and Yaz especially Graham he is so good

2020-02-13 15:49:28 +0000 UTCI think it will be Ryan leaving and dependent on whether he decides to live with his dad or wants to stay with Graham will make Graham decide whether to stay or go with Ryan! Yaz I'm sure will stay with the doctor!

2020-02-13 14:58:29 +0000 UTCRyan seemed done with travelling and worried what he's leaving behind.I expect him to stay home to make help make a better earth (avoiding orphan 55) and real life with his friends and family(Tibo & dad). The rest i dont know. Graham can go either way and Yaz love the travels and we know she likes escaping now.

2020-02-13 13:11:33 +0000 UTCI think all three are on their way out. And as said above, without tragic consequences - except maybe for the Doctor who clearly needs multiple companions to distract her from herself.

2020-02-13 12:42:29 +0000 UTCI think for me I would be happier if Ryan left. I'm just not fond of his character and having 3 companions at once is too much for me.

2020-02-13 12:42:02 +0000 UTCI think at least one or maybe two will leave living one with the Doctor (likely Yaz) but the problem is we only getting major character development 3 episodes before they could potentially leave. So unless these next episodes are very companion heavy I feel like when they do leave it'll be "OK bye then"
Damian Bentley
2020-02-13 12:40:03 +0000 UTCI would say yes. But I get the strong feeling that these companions aren’t going to have tragic consequences like previous ones.
