Seriously, you need to stop being such pussies about spoilers already. You reading one or two spoilers is nothing against taking weeks or months to understand the basics of a show.

Indeed. Why spend months training to create something you can just buy?

I get why Aaron was confused because when I first saw this arc I thought Kurapika’s teacher meant conjured weapons were pretty much pointless or weaker than real ones, which confused me because it made conjuring seem to be a worthless category. But it is like Calvin said on conjured weapons take a lot of work and are easier to lose if a person gets shaken or exhausts their nen compared to a regular weapon. What sets conjured apart is like Shalnark said in that they can add different abilities and conditions to their weapons that aren’t present in real weapons. That is why he stressed why a manipulator using real chains and a conjurer using conjured chains is a big deal. I could be wrong about some of this, but it is what I gathered.

I think it is like Shane said and Hisoka just made it up and it just happened to be true. He just needed a reason for why he couldn’t speak and nen users being able to se conditions is probably something he and the Troupe know about so he just went for it and gambled by the time anyone learned the truth most of them would be dead and he would get his match with Chrollo.

How did Hisoka know about the dagger is an excellent question i'd never considered. There is no way Kurapika told him his powers. He must have guessed that an ability like that was plausible.

I think a lot of people watch episodes of a lot of different shows a week and don't have the luxery of a 20 min to an hour discussion about it to help it sink it and still remember more than them lol I'm fine with them forgetting things because I can also be forgetful but saying its because they watch a lot of television is just an excuse.

Kurapika doesn't have any real chains at all. He keeps his conjured chains out so that people assume that they are manipulated real chains.

Hunter X Hunter fans are the angriest I've ever seen, so mad about the show's confusing power system. I mean, I get it but I understand it is confusing at first too. You people have been used to it for years now, you should be a bit more understanding. This also happens when they watch 10 shows a week, they forget and confuse stuff.

The big difference between conjuration and manipulation is you can apply conditions to the conjured item, but the manipulated item/person is assuming direct control of said thing. In Kurapika's case, he has his chains out in front of potential enemies because it makes it harder for someone to guess his category. Uvogin even assumed it was either manipulation or conjuration. In Shizuku's case, it is very clearly conjuration, due to the vacuum sucking up a pool of blood along with the bodies of about a hundred grown men - that is something that can't be achieved by manipulating a vacuum.

The daggers also aren’t the condition Kurapika set, they just facilitate it. The condition that makes Chain Jail powerful is that he will die if he uses it on anyone but the Troupe. The condition that makes Judgement Chain powerful is that he can only use it whenever his eye turn Scarlet and he becomes a Specialist, otherwise he will die. Kurapika circumvented that rule by being able to turn his eyes scarlet whenever he wants. He can’t give someone a power boost by giving them a dagger. That doesn’t make sense. “You get a power boost or you die”. He can’t just make someone more powerful by saying that, the person would just instantly die.

The daggers weren’t for power ups. They were so that Gon, Killua, & Leorio would die if they revealed anything about Kurapika to the Phantom Troupe. That’s what Gon wanted.
