It's strange, the version the guys watched did have sound effects missing. I went and checked my DVD and there was a sound effect when 12 had a whack on the head, as well as more. Weird.

Hadn’t noticed it before but when The Doctor tells Car “Time to grow up”, that’s a nice callback to what the War Doctor told Clara before he went to end the Time War

Fun fact about this episode is that it was written by Rona Munro who wrote the last ever Classic Who story Survival meaning 28 years between her first story and this and she is currently the only writer to have written for both Classic and NuWho

They did an episode on the JFK assassination on an episode of Red Dwarf, went back in time and everything. And that was in 1987. It was spectacular and actually quite touching.

What's "bullshit" about Bill's speech about being scared? Does he think it's bullshit that to be scared is human? That's one of the most basic concepts. Hell, that's friggin' *evolution*. Yet Shane thinks it's "bullshit". I swear, he has the most bizarre, random complaints about episodes. This episode, he's full of them. The stones are too heavy for anyone to move, despite the fact that even bigger stones were moved almost 200 miles to make Stonehenge. The ground is flat in one spot, which...huh?? And then the disbelief about fear being something that's human. Maybe they're not complaints at all, I don't know, but he says them in such a disapproving way that they *sound* like complaints. I do get confused sometimes when he makes comments. He sometimes sounds like one of those guys in your group of friends who sees a magician and loudly declares "This trick is so bullshit, there's a switch under the table!" as if there was anyone there who even for a *second* thought that magic was real. It's like, yes, we all get it. It's slight of hand. Nobody was arguing against it, why are you complaining?

In terms of "regular" episodes, this one is damn underrated imo.
