As someone who read all the books several times, the show is a very weak adaptation. Mostly because of the writing. And the King Slayer Arc is a game thing. In case if you don't know, games are continuation of the books.

As someone who has played all the games, this show is pretty decent. Objectively. Some of the dialogue doesn't land but that's about it. Definitely interested in more seasons. Could you imagine a king Slayer Arc? Damn.

I had mixed feelings my first watch through. By the end I enjoyed The Witcher much more. I've started my second watch and I'm already enjoying it more with the information I have now. It was a pleasant surprise that you guys are reacting to it as well as I started my rewatch, and I'm on ep2, so I think I might actually watch along... but I'm sure I'll watch ahead😊

Eric & Aaron are doing Watchmen while the other guys do The Witcher. Maybe they'll do an Eric & Aaron reaction for Witcher after they've done Watchmen.

Where did you read that? Jaskier is actually his real alias (his full name is another story :P ). The english translation was the one to change it /adapt it to Dandelion but the original was Jaskier all along. I'm guessing since the author was more involved here than usual he asked for the original names to be kept :)

There was a bunch of confusion amongst fans about the Bard. But he is indeed Dandelion. during this time he goes by the name Jaskier and later adopts the Alias Dandelion. The writers confirmed this in an interview.
