She trusted her brother enough to let him know she's vulnerable but she probably wouldn't want to do the same with Quiin. He takes the blame for being the overbearing brother instead of Deb showing her vulnerability and feeling like others know she can't hack it or not having thick enough skin or ran to her big bro.

2019-12-11 00:26:28 +0000 UTCWhat I can't understand is Deb specifically asked Dexter to keep the reporter away. So when Quinn confronts him, why doesn't he just say that? "She's a big girl. She doesn't need protecting." "No, but she's my sister and she asked me to help." All perfectly reasonable, still allows him to throw in the threat about the money, and doesn't paint him as the overbearing brother who yes, was going to do that anyway, but had a real excuse ready. Just shoddy writing on that one. I'd actually gotten away from my rewatch and you guys caught up to me. I had to stop and go watch this episode before I watched the reaction. Time to go marathon the rest of the season so I'm ready for the next few weeks!
