I saw the comment above but I thought they were literally saying the game was bull shit, as in it didn't exist, haha. That extra rule sounds pretty cool too!

2019-11-24 03:39:51 +0000 UTCAs someone mentioned above, it's called BS (bull shit) where I'm from. The version I played was basically the same, with one small change. You could throw out more then one card (of the same type) if you wanted to. (2 2s, 3 kings, etc.) to try to get rid of more cards. Though, obviously, the more cards you try to lay down, the harder it is to bluff.

(At least where I'm from) Cards have to be played in their numerical order: 1 (Ace) to 13 (King), repeating until the game ends. You keep your hand hidden, and either play or pass depending on if you have the next card. The first person to run out of cards wins. It's called cheat because it would be really unlikely for a person to have a card to match every number they're presented with, so you 'cheat' and put down a card that doesn't match what should be played next. When it comes to really experienced players, knowing when to cheat and when to pass becomes somewhat of an artform. Players have to stay vigilant and try and call out others when they're cheating. But beware! A false accusation leads to the accuser having to pick up all the accumulated cards in the play pile. That's why, in the scene, she flipped her card to prove that it was a 13 (King!) when accused, and he had to pick up all the cards into his hand. It's a really fun game that's easy to learn and hard to master! I wouldn't reccomend it though if you have a bad poker face.

2019-11-23 21:20:29 +0000 UTCThey are relatively strong. Worm actually made Uvogin bleed in the manga. That and surviving his punch are good feats as is piercing through Uvogin's with teeth and hair. Compare that to certain feather attack that did jack to Gon or tons of free hits someone landed on Killua.

2019-11-23 19:56:54 +0000 UTCThe Shadow Beasts did better than I expected them to here for me. I expected them to not get any hits in or do in lasting damage the first time I saw this. While I never got the impression they were super strong nen users I did feel they were decently strong with deadly abilities. What I liked here was that the Beasts own cockiness did them in as much as lack of power if not more so. Worm said he could have killed Unvo underground and while that is probably false the fact he didn’t do that right away and wasted time trying to fuck around with him is telling. Rabid Dog could have gone for his throat right off the bat and killed him or used lethal poison like Machi said, but didn’t. Even Leech could have moved out of the way after he did his thing, but he was so sure they were winning he left himself close to Unvo and giggled. These guys were acting like a typical Ginyu Force by fucking around because they were so sure they were untouchable they could have proven more effective. I think that is a strength of the series. The characters skills can be just as important or more so than raw power and that even the strongest person can be brought down by people with less raw power with enough skill and the right ability. Sometimes being cocky or flaunting said abilities can cost them big, like it did the Shadow Beasts here.

2019-11-23 18:18:46 +0000 UTCKurapikas nen restriction works like a water gun, you reduce the spread (people he can use his abilities on) which in turn ups the power (the strength of his abilities). You can set hard rules and/or "program" your Hatsu (unique nen ability) to further reflect your goals and personality at the time which modify how it functions. If you break the rules then your nen reacts the way you "programmed" it react if you do. You have to "program" it to get the desired results (stronger nen) you can't just say you'll go through with the promise cos if you then don't you'll be cheating the nen system and everyone would do it, gotta keep it balanced yeah.
