I wouldn’t say all of them are like that. Chris Sabat has some range. All Might and Armstrong, despite being similarly toned characters still have VERY distinct voices. And Steve Blum’s filmography speaks for itself.

Yeah I mean, I liked Vic's voice for what it was, but I've literally NEVER heard him in any role where I didn't immediately go "Oh, there's Vic Mignona, doing the usual Vic Mignona voice that he always does".

Unpopular opinion: Vic Mignogna has the LEAST amount of range out of any anime voice actor. He's only famous because of Edward Elric, and that's it.

I grew up reading Vinland Saga so I'm happy it's getting a good adaption. Although it does suffer from pacing issues and weird cut off points around episode 12 and 13.

Don't make assumptions. I was highly skeptical of this show but ultimately, I was won over. I would consider visual style a component of animation. Their natural integration of CGI with traditional 2d animation is ground breaking and allows them to free up resources for animation. Can you honestly say scenes like Tanjiro vs Boar guy is 7/10? As for pacing, this show is highly effective at moving the plot while balancing action, exposition and comedic relief. It manages to end episodes at natural end points or cliff hangers that leave you wanting more. Everyone knows it follows the generic shounen formula. It just executes that formula incredibly well like a top tier Marvel Movie. It's a formula that resonates with alot of people hence the popularity. I havent watched Dororo so I cannot comment on if it does these elements better. You wanted to understand why poeple praise Demon Slayer, now you do. As for 2019 ranking. It's in third below SoK season 3 part 2 and Vinland Saga.

Pump the breaks a bit Lurkin. Your hype is showing. God tier animation? No, its a 7/10. Its really solid animation but not god tier. The pacing is very slow and eratic. The visual style and brother sister dynamic are what sell the show. Other than that its pretty standard stuff. Especially when you compare it to the other demon show of the year Dororo which is holds up better in the elements you discussed.

pro dub guy, but man is Tanjiro VA in this super iffy. Sounds very amateurish in terms of his lines. The rest of the cast is fine tho, just wish they got someone else for the biggest character in the series. Hopefully he improves as the show continues.

God tier animation, incredible pacing, creative action set pieces, likable characters and a well developed brother / sister relationship that you dont see in Shounen. It has all the action, emotional pathos and hype to satisfy our base weeb desires.

They dont do it for HxH why would they for this show..... I.E. Episode 35 of HxH has a hunterpedia where chibi gon and killua shwing like hisoka did in the episode and i feel the crew would have had a laugh and funny conversation about it since that was so important in the actual discussion.
