Doctor Who 9x11 Reaction Early Access!

Comments

I wish as I had access to the full length version of this.

o

I think they believe Gallifrey was always timelocked not just for the war.

Doby Greg

Love seeing you consistently proclaim Hell Bent’s greatness. Couldn’t agree more.

G G

From the discussion, it seems the guys have forgotten that Gallifrey isn't time locked and/or destroyed anymore. Hasn't been since the end of Time of the Doctor!

Robert Hill

Actually they shoved it in a pocket universe. Which is why they needed the doctor's help on Trenzalore. The Gallifreyans got out by themselves at some point. Missy mentioned it when they met in s8.

Doby Greg

S10 has a good ending and Christmas. And while most episodes are ok I don't think it has a straight up bad episode. Also the reactions tend to enhance episodes so I say give a chance.

Doby Greg

S9 is one of the three great seasons of NewWho along with 4 and 5 imo. But thst doesnt mean there isnt some very good stuff left to watch and react to. S10 is very consistent while S11 is better on a rewatch.

Nick Earl

During Day of the Doctor, all of the Doctor's teamed up to put the planet in a "stasis bubble" hidden away somewhere. Turns out it got put 2 billion years in the future, right at the end of the universe.

Josh Thompson

I thought it was Heaven Sent that was cursed lol

TbcAlex

s10 is definitely a strong point in NuWho for me, it has some of the strongest stories in 12's run or any doctor's run, and bill is an incredibly underrated companion

Zane

Anyone wanna take bets on it they avoid the Hell Bent Reactors Curse

adrian

It was the joint third least enjoyed episode by the audience when it was aired. Only Sleep No More, Love and Monsters and The End of the World got a worse AI rating when it aired. Weird huh?

Dave Ford

And also one of the least liked episodes by the viewers in the history of DW. Only beaten by Love and Monsters and Sleep No More.

Dave Ford

So far. Who knows what the future holds.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

Series 10 is good. Series 11 had its moments.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

almost at the end . this is the last good season/series for me. been a great time watching u react to these 9 seasons.

chris z

Am I crazy or does a small reprise of “Shepherd’s Boy” play during Day of the Doctor when the Three Doctors are coming up with the plan to save Galifrey? Love this music! The closest music that 12 has as a defining theme

Brian Barnes

The day they started reacting to doctor who, i subscribed to patreon so that i can watch the full length when they finally get to this episode. Worth it.

TisyuPaper

Next week ending is fairly important and will probably lead to good reactions and discussions.

Doby Greg

nah, Hell Bent's brilliant

Nick Earl

Well boys, we made it

JamesA

Glad they finally got here. They can skip next week if they want.

Thomas Newell

Also note he's a Patron of Blind Wave, because he's disliking this video a week early. Wonder why he keeps trolling and disliking videos from a groups he likes enough to sponsor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Firefly24601

A bit of trivia: The Tomb in the Five Doctors special, aka the "Torture Palace" was the same design tech, packed inside a Trancendental Dimension with gearwork just like the confession dial. Guarded by the ultimate weapon, the guy in latex suit that jumps and shoots dick lasers.

Justin H'oman

Been waiting all season for this episode! So so good.

Absolute masterpiece, one of the best episodes of television ever. Not just Doctor Who.

Nick Earl

really? I think it's one of the best dr who episodes ever lol

Michael Pruden

They caught the loop relatively fast so I was expecting them to guess the whole thing. I'm glad they didn't. Eric love for Capaldi is always a plus. Classic case of Calvin never remembering his own references. And yeah 12th is the scariest doctor.

Doby Greg

Just a shining pillar of excellence in storytelling, acting, directing, and music. God this episode is outstanding. Very glad you guys enjoyed it as much as everyone else has. I haven't watched much of season 9 since it initially aired, and it's been fun going back through it, particularly on full length with this episode. As a note, the director of this episode - Rachel Talalay is fantastic, she's done the previous season's final episodes as well as Sherlock, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Iron Fist, and Doom Patrol.

FaultyHammock

Been a long, long wait. So glad to see the guys react. They picked up on the loop easily enough, which isn't too bad. The main things about the episode is that the story, music, pacing, acting, effects and over all eeriness all come together to make a fantastic package. My favorite episode of the new series, and possibly the whole show.

Teek

This episode is a freaking masterclass, of acting, storytelling, music, editing and direction. It's Moffat, Murray Gold and Rachel Talalay at their best and Peter Capaldi's performance is out of this world. I don't think there is another actor who pulls me in and completely captivates me the way he does.

Dannielle

One of the pretty few times I really wish they did double drops! Great reaction all around! I’ll have to go the long way around to see the next one.

Brandon Hughes

Hands down the best episode of Doctor Who, the music, the direction, and the editing are all top shelf. And Capaldi’s performance is just unparalleled.

Greatest episode of the show

TbcAlex

We are finally here One of the best dr who episodes ever

Aside from the acting I really don't like much about this episode. I like the begenning when he is warning anyone that killed his best friend and I like the callback at the end about the long way around. But everything else about the episode annoys me. I love Capaldi acting but I think it is better when he has something to bounce of and on this one he has no one. He also in my opinion isn't talking about anything making it even more difficult to be invested. The sudden return of Gallifrey is the second time we waste the idea of a search for the planet, it uses one of my least favorite Moffatism of hyperbolic feats with the four billions, Also I'm not sure the doctor would know where he is if the stars are off by so far, that also seems like the strangest way to get information from the doctor, Also I prefer when the doctor is a citizen from Gallifrey more than when is a god above everyone else. The ending of s5 is every mofattism done right while this one is a lot of mofattism done in the way that annoys me so much.

Doby Greg

Yep, love this episode, and Hell Bent, and am not sorry I value both equally as a perfect two parter.

Nick Earl

How do I watch any of these reactions full length??
