At the end of the day, if I was on a Jury, and tasked with determining whether it was rape or not. Based purely on the evidence we have, I would not be able to say, without a shadow of a doubt, that is was in fact rape. But at the same time, even thought we know for a fact the Deep was raped, I would have to come to the same conclusion, while we were able to see it happen, there would be no actual evidence for it, so I would equally have to let that woman go free as well. Rape cases are so hard to prove. But at the end of the day, I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I won't take the risk of sending an innocent person to jail.

Eric is right though, we can't know for sure one way or the other. The only evidence we have is that video tape. It it doesn't prove one way or the other whether the encounter was rape, or consensual . So basically, men start from "innocent until proven guilty" and women from "guilty until proven innocent."

Becca absolutely had consensual sex with Homelander and afterwards looked like a girl leaving a guys dorm room the next morning. You can tell purely from the fact that Homelander genuinely seems to care for this woman. Maeve says its herself that its the people that are the heroes weakness.

I think this episode and the precedent really show how Butcher is not simply trying to get Justice. He has basically turned into a biggot for anyone with powers and I like that more fucked up approach to the character. He isn't an hero just an angry man incapble of seeing nuance. And next episode proves just how much he doesn't about anything but his crusade.

I agree Billy is blinded, but Mesmer didn't have to tell" Mesmer is the one who reached out to Homelander. Mesmer didn't have to say anything, he chose to betray them in hopes of getting his job back. In this particular case I'm siding with Billy.

Next week we got the season finale of the Boys and Heaven Sent what did we do to deserve this

I think you're giving Homelander too much credit. He let a full plane of people die and then spun it for his own agenda. So I doubt he draws the line at rape.

It amazes me the dichotomy of male vs female reactors and how they interpret Becca being impregnated by Homelander. Men all start from it wasn't rape and have to be convinced it was. Women start from obviously it was rape and have to be convinced that it wasn't. (Stating like this since you haven't released the last episode yet)
