2019-09-20 19:29:56 +0000 UTCWhen you’re finished with season one you need to read some of the comics just to appreciate how much explicit material Amazon had to cut out. I never thought The Boys was censored in any way, but once you read some of them you realise how much was even more graphic than what made it into the show.

2019-09-20 18:50:31 +0000 UTCButcher destroying the headstone was a great scene for me and showed how selfish he can be. His sister-in-law said the headstone was more for her mother than anything else and she needed some sense of closure for her daughter who had been gone for 8 years. During the argument I could see both sides, but when that scene happened it highlighted Butcher can disregard what other people want and go for what he wants. That starts making you question how much this will come in play for the rest of the Boys. It also makes him similar to Homelander. It is done well without being beaten over our heads, at least for me it didn’t feel like it was.
