Ryan is a John Clancy character that's been adapted many times since the 90s by Connery, Harrison Ford, Affleck, Chris Pine and Krasinski in 5 movies and the recent show, the first 3 90's films are classics... Reacher was only adapted to live action in 2012 by Tom Cruz in 2 horrible movies and the show is only in development and hasn't been cast yet.
