Supergirl 4x17 Poll!

Do you want Ben Lockwood to be redeemed?

Comments

I think he deserves a second chance. He was good before everything went down with reign and every buildup made him go berzerk as he already lost his father and couldn't risk losing his family. He'll see the good side of aliens one day and fight against lex.

If I hear one more person pronounce Luthor as Luther I'm gonna scream

You either die a villain or live long enough to see yourself become redeamed.

While I like his character and sort of sympathise with him. He's the best villain the show has had, he NEEDS to stay that way if Supergirl wants to prove it can stack up to the rest of the Arrowverse.

I don’t think that there is going to be such a black or white answer in terms of the themes this season for Ben Lockwood

Gavin Hardiman

KILL HIM AND THE REST OF HIS PEOPLE

I’ll say redeem, just so Aaron can enjoy his boy without me hating him.

Andrew Courtney

Ben is too far gone I think. He beat a man to death to reclaim leadership of his organization. He could be against Lex, but I don’t think his opinions on aliens will change and he will remain in his stance and continue taking extremes no matter how many lines he crosses.

Jjop017

yes because I am not really buying is character as a villian just because i dont get is motivation but thats just me

Matthew

I don't think he should be redeemed to the point of being on the right side, but to show strong integrity and stick to it would be great.

Kevin Bartelen

Be the Villain, stay the Villain!

I want him to be redeemed and feel stupid for being on the wrong side this whole time. He thinks he’s doing the right thing and helping people, so he’s not the typical villain more of a new racist who can come to his senses.

LKG

Villain redemption sometimes feel overused, but I think it makes sense for Lockwood.

Luis Garcia

No

Dip602

Yes. In episode 3, his origin story, he didn't start out as a villain. He even defended aliens at the beginning. We see him slowly transform over the span of several years due to various alien-related events that happen to him and his family.

Walter Alcaraz

I want the Vador ending. He does something good but not for the greater good but because he loves his family (son). A complicated villain until the end.

Doby Greg

What's weird is that in the comics, agent liberty is actually a good guy but I think at this point he's too caught up in his own racism and is too far gone

I love Sam Witwer but I usually see him play the same three roles. A Star Wars Anti-Hero/Villain, a superman villain, or a cameo role on a police procedural where he's the killer. You can see why I dont think he's redeemable.

Joel

I would like to see him realize how wrong he's been. He was a man who was broken and because of that he was radicalized. I think it would be fitting to see him renounce his hatred and help the team stop Lex's plan and then pay for his crimes.

No he stay villain, their are to many villains reformed. What next Lex Luthor because join Team Supergirl ?

Wouldnt mind him doing a 'double cross' and help the team fight against Lex and ultimately capture him, but turns against them in the last few episodes

I would like to see him turn I had the feeling at the end of the episode that he could tell the Supergirl who attacked the White House wasn’t the real Supergirl

Christian Bolda

He might just fight back against Luther cause he’s not fighting for the same reason has him. He’ll stay a villain but fight against him. Like lex when aliens invade. He teams up but at the end back stabs them

ChiefChill

I think we have too many villains getting reformed. It would be nice to see a villain stay a villain for a change. Perhaps he can lean more towards the good side, but he should still remain a villain of sorts.
