2019-03-16 02:00:40 +0000 UTCIncorrect Erin. Abnormals are similar to mindless titans but they act erratic. While Ymir, Reiner, Bertholt and Erenare titan shifters not abnormal. Titans who are able to regain their human forms. So there are three type Mindless, Abnormal and Titan Shifter.

2019-03-15 18:24:54 +0000 UTCi think your confusion with abnormal and intelligent titans comes from the fact Armin called the Female Titan abnormal when he first saw it. Like others have said, abnormals are just a variation of the normal titans.

2019-03-15 16:58:51 +0000 UTCAbnormals are just a variation of regular dumb titans with some unique shape or trait... you don't inherit or gain anything from eating an abnormal... They aren't powered titans which have consciousness, can turn human, and can transfer their power by eaten...

Marcel, the shifter that Ymir ate does have a moniker like the Beast, Armored , Colossal and Female Titan. But it hasn't been revealed in the anime yet. Remember Normal Titans have to consume the Spinal Fluid of a Titan Shifter (Intelligent Titan) to revert back into a human.

2019-03-15 16:05:11 +0000 UTCNon spoiler manga tidbit: on the serum bottle that Rod used, in the manga it had a label that said "the most powerful titan", so I always assumed it was a special type of Titan serum that he didn't fully understand its meaning, bc he didnt have the memories of the world
