I think Shane just has more of a grasp on anime and how they usually operate, because he's been pretty on point. Just annoyed Aaron was super against what Shane was saying a couple episodes ago, and now when Shane is gloating that he called it, Aaron doesn't remember that discussion at all??? Ok dude lol I mean I get it they watch a million shows in tandem but Shane had been very vocal and loud about his beliefs. But it's all in good fun no biggie 😆

I don't think I I have seen Aaron more afraid to speculate than in this series. He lives everything on the table and as open question. I guess he is lacking solid foundations to build on. And considering how confused Shane usuallly is he is pretty in tune with this show. Probably thanks to being fine with shooting in the dark. Really interesting to see how different methods work on this show.

The military want Historia because she is part of the real royal family and having her gives them legitimacy to the people. You saw in the last episode how regular people already started thinking the military just overthrew the King and are lying to them. The scouts mentioned in an earlier episode that they were going to reveal Historia’s true origin and have her take the throne as queen to change the government. It is more of PR move than anything.

Shane is right. When they were talking about eastern they meant "eastern" as in asian. In the sub they say Oriental, so if someone could let them know that'd be cool. I strongly doubt this is a spoiler,just a correction.

this episode could def have been written better, the plot is really cool, but the way it was presented was pretty bad

yeah was abit surprised since it was the episode that Mikasa and Eren had to kill which is hard to forget really.It was clearly stated she looked oriental and that they were from the East...Shane was correct.

Guys, c'mon... they've clearly stated Mikasa was Asian/Japanese. Her name's Mikasa! She talks about her mother being another race from the East in this very episode! Shane was right but you guys didn't bother rewinding to confirm.

Regardless of whether that statement is correct or not, I'm very happy to finally see some reactors who don't just immediately side against the royal family, and actually listen to his story without assuming immediately that he's lying and is secretly evil.
