I hope it's something sincere I don't want her to become evil but i can see that's where her story might be headed and i don't like it

I think she is sincere and looking what the right thing is. And because most expect the worst from her as a Luthor she became incredibly touchy about anyone questioning the moral of her actions.

First time Lena was not the best written character with that scene in the car. Like, i understand her but how could she not even consider to see the point of view of james? doesn't make any sense. I always said she will become more of an antagonist or villain down the line but PLEASE not if it starts like that.

It seemed like she only agreed to share her research because of what was happening with that alien so I think she just wants to help people, but they always seem to write her as if there couldn't possibly be a middle ground to consider which is why she always seems like she might be about to turn evil.

Seems like Lena just being Lena. But with even more jumping to conclusions and sabotaging her relationship

It seemed to me at first like she felt like she was being pressured/blackmailed into contracting with the government and that's why she wanted to run away to Paris (away from US gov't control) but then she seemed to take a hard left turn and decided to break up with him and agree which is confusing unless she thought that was a better way to protect him than running away

Definitely something sinister, but maybe it's not of her own accord? I think someone may be blackmailing her to share her research or they'll kill James. That would tie in nicely with how she protected him from being charged earlier in the season.
