The Punisher 2x4 Reaction Early Access!

I understand people saying that modern medical science/technology is why his face isn’t so messed up, that’s fine. But why in the hell were people in the show looking at him like the people that saw those creatures in Bird Box. They were hyping his face way too much, that’s why it’s so disappointing. They telegraphed how damaged his face looked like, without actually showing, by showing others people’s reaction to his face.

You don't wanna guy with a scar, but the one who gave it to him.

I've been waiting for you guys to react to seeing Billy's face because ... MAN I was so disappointed when I first saw it, even after they made his face looks so bad/great when his face eats all those mirror shards.

I mean, they could have at least messed up half of his face with horrible scarring...the other half remaining beautiful would have been good enough.

I 100% agree his face should be way worse I mean punisher dragged his face on that glass at least half should be severely disfigured.

I suspect Billy's face was so lightly scarred because it was probably pretty damn expensive and difficult to have a heavy prosthesis that looked realistic and could also withstand action scenes.

Aaaaannnnddd It's been cancelled. On the bright side, Marvel released a letter with the announcement saying this... "Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters... but you know Marvel better than that. As Matthew Murdock's Dad once said, "The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it's how he gets back up. "To be continued...!' C'mon Hulu, Marvel, get dealing. I can't deal with having no more Frank Castle in my life.

I really do miss seeing the whole crew together. I notice lately with a lot of shows you guys react too, that 1 or 2 people are always missing. :( For me Blind Wave is so unique since you guys seem like such a close knit group. Wish the full crew reacted together even if they have seen it before! Still tho, great reaction guys!! <3

yeah the face is underwhelming especially with the buildup of the past three episodes; the actor apparently wanted it more gruesome but they wanted the light scarring to emphasise that most of the damage is on the inside, less visible

I knew the guys would be disappointed with Billy's face. I was too. But at the end of the day I guess Ben Barnes is always going to have Ben Barnes's face and there's only so much you can do to mess that up, lol. He went from being perfectly beautiful to ruggedly hansom and he's just gong to have to learn to live with that. Poor bastard.

The face may be a call back to Jack Kirby's plans for Doctor Doom, he thinks he's hideously disfigured and when he's unmasked it turns out just to be a slight "dueling" scar on his cheek . . .

I understand the disappointment with Billy's face not being more fucked-up, but it does at least make sense. Considering how much medical science has advanced since the character's creation in the 70's, combined with the fact that the EMTs got to him immediately kinda helped. That said, Ben Barnes' performance this season is awesome, glad you guys are enjoying. Looking forward to next week. :)
