The one thing the dub does worse than the sub is all might saying random words in english... his japanese VA saying Dave sounds so silly.

I waited for the anime to finish and binged watched the final 6 episodes, so I didn’t really have a problem with this episode in terms of wasting a week. I thought it was funny and enjoyed the murder myserty aspect even if it did require some leaps of logic to work, but thought it was fun. I would be pissed if this wasn’t a seasonal anime and had to stay in the air all year long and we were always forced to take year long breaks for filler arcs to give the manga more time to get ahead like Bleach or Naruto. Overall the seasonal anime earned a pass with me for this episode. I didn’t really mind the season premiere either even though it was mostly recap and filler.

I don't get why people are so upset/ confused why they didn't skip this episode, when they even watched recaps when it counted as an anime episode. It's no shocker they wouldn't skip this

I'm glad they didn't skip the episode. That being said those of you throwing out insults, on either side of the argument, need to calm down. Those complaining are not entirely wrong, and this one extra episode means they won't finish the series until the first saturday of January, so a whole extra pledge month for one episode. Again, not an issue for me but I can understand complaints when this episode is mostly forgettable.

For anyone who doesn't know the reasoning behind this episode, there was originally supposed to be a week break because of a special charity event that was taking place in Japan, and large number of weekly anime did take breaks during that week, but instead of doing that, the show runners decided to make this episode as both promo for the movie and the charity event.

Movie HYPE! I really liked this episode. Never skip an episode. Watching live, week to week I think people generally don't skip an episode of a show they like. Some people may not have know it's a filler or promo episode live. Even if you did know, I think it's hard to skip an episode of a show you like. I think filler or promo episodes can be so much fun and nice break.
