Hey everyone,
I’ve had a few messages recently from people saying they’re waiting for a Discord invite, or that they’re not sure how to access the mods after subscribing. I just want to clear things up so nobody’s left confused.
Access to Discord is automated.
When you become a Patron, you don’t need to wait for me to send you a manual invite. Instead, you need to link your Patreon account with your Discord account. Once you’ve done that, the bot handles everything for us both.
Here’s how to set it up:
Go to your Patreon profile settings.
Under Apps, you’ll see an option to connect Discord.
Authorise Patreon to connect with your Discord.
Once it’s linked, you’ll automatically be added to my Discord server with the right role for your tier.
If you’re already subbed and still not in the server, unlink and reconnect Discord through Patreon’s settings. Nine times out of ten, that fixes the issue.
The reason I use Discord is to protect my work and keep things secure. Unfortunately, a lot of creators’ content has been leaked, and Discord gives me much better control over who’s coming and going. That way, only active Patrons have access.
Important: I can’t issue individual Discord invites. I have done this in the past, but I’ve been advised not to anymore. If I send someone a manual invite, there’s nothing stopping them from staying in the server long after their sub ends, which isn’t fair to everyone else.
So please, if you’re having issues, double-check your settings and maybe do a quick search on “Patreon Discord link not working.” There are plenty of step-by-step guides out there.
Thanks so much for understanding, and for supporting me. This setup keeps things secure, fair, and flowing smoothly for everyone!
